When Jason Silverheart first arrived in the Kingdom of Soulestara from his own Sol Earth realm, he embarked on a series of treasure-seeking adventures to reboot the economy of the war-battered, drought-ravaged, and impoverished country. Success won him a Lordship and therefore ownership of acres of land. During a small recess from adventuring, Lord Silverheart turned to his few farms to look into helping them in some way. Unlike other Lords of the region who looked at farms and peasants as tools and numbers on paper, he sought to know and understand them. He also admitted that he needed a smarter apprentice to aid him in his exploits. And thus he came across the run down Ramu farm, home to the girl Ifalna and her father Jorda. In exchange for equal share in whatever treasure they found in their adventuring, he offered for Ifalna to accompany him. Though smart from the library of books in their hidden basement, she was eager to learn more about the world, and agreed to join him. Before embarking on their first expedition together, Silverheart had them stop at the town of Slatemarsh where she would train in basic weapon use at their Fighter’s Guild under Captain Sarona.
Compared to the bare bones meals she and her father could muster back home, she received hearty meals and her mentor Sarona instructed her on not only weapon use, but morals and the balance of all things good and evil, war and peace, light and dark. Not just how to fight, but how to approach battle and appreciate the preciousness of life itself. Not a week into her training, the call to arms was made when smoke rose from the direction of her farm. Racing to the blaze with Lord Silverheart, Captain Sarona and her Sergeant-at-Arms, Kennar Ironbirch, they expected to only find a small crop fire, when instead were ambushed by a powerful fire magic. As the Captain and Sergeant rushed the evil sorceress Iresna and her squad of soldiers and undead, Silverheart and Ifalna advanced in move and shoot tactics in hopes of finding her father. Despite relentless fireballs, the sorceress was driven away, vowing to return with a hundred soldiers. Jorda, Ifalna’s father emerged from the house, confessing that he was looking into a strange door he discovered in their basement when the fire witch attacked. The door led to an old tomb from an ancient long-dead race, filled with gold bars and magic weapons. Before they could celebrate, however, the fire witch kept true to her word and was on her way back with her army. The party hid until she and her army passed by, marching off towards Slatemarsh. Hoping to flank them in ambush, Silverheart and his party raced after the sorceress, dodging her fireballs and eventually cornering her, leaving all but Ifalna incapacitated. Before the sorceress could move to finish them, Ifalna drew her new magic sword and rushed in swinging with new ferocity, unable o cast her spells, Iresna was subdued…and her mind control lifted.
With the timely arrival of the Princess Elliandra persillus, she in her wisdom forgave the sorceress and invited her to join in taking back the farm from the second wave of evil invaders. Along the way, the newly reinforced party rescued a farmer duo, mother Ana and daughter Isabella, close friends of Ifalna and her father, who would help play a pivotal role in their attack. The success of driving off the evil forces and retaking the farm also won Lord Silverheart the sailing ship he first arrived with. As the party recovered the gold and celebrated in Slatemarsh, it was Ifalna’s father Jorda who moved to propose to Ana, and the two were married soon after. With things looking taken care of for the town of Slatemarsh, Lord Silverheart looked to the horizon for the next adventure. Before departing in his ship, he invited Ifalna to join him once more in accompanying him once she had gotten stronger, and left a Beacon Ring and a Ring of Whirlpool Warp for her to follow. He also gave her one of the princesses Magic Mirrors of Telescry to keep in contact meanwhile. Ever since, she trained hard week upon week, eventually feeling confident enough to follow after. Given a small sailing ship of her own, she set out to follow the beacon, leading her through a portal of water into the ocean of a brave new realm. This one seems far different from her own realm of magic and might…one of giant lizards and flying carriages, domed houses and cloistered martial arts masters.
