Future Trunks: Android Saga

[Gohan]

A few years following Goku's victory against Frieza, he returns to Earth and succumbs to a viral heart disease. Goku's death, being the result of natural causes, means that he can no longer be revived with the Dragon Balls. Six months later, Piccolo, Vegeta, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu are killed by Android 17 and Android 18. With the death of Piccolo, Earth's guardian, Kami, dies as well and the Dragon Balls are rendered permanently useless - making it impossible for anyone to be revived.


Thirteen years later, the androids terrorize the planet while the sole survivor of the battle, Gohan, repeatedly tries to stop them but is unsuccessful. He agrees to train Trunks, the teenage son of Vegeta and Bulma, who is eager to help him defeat the androids.

[Gohan]

As time went by and the destruction and terror continued. Gohan was standing on a rooftop overlooking west city and the destruction that continued to get worse. He stood thinking about the lives lost and the terrible situation they were in and he looked over at Trunks who at this time was a young teenager. He had seen so much heartache and loss and Gohan felt for him.

He then turned to Trunks and said, "This is getting worse and I do not know if I can continue fighting these Androids alone...I am going to have to start training you to get stronger... I'm sorry I have to rush you through all this but if we have any fighting chance I have to get you stronger.. Are you ready to handle this?"

[Trunks]

Standing along side Gohan, lavender hair blowing in the wind, Trunks then turned to Gohan, looking up at him through blue eyes. Zeal coursed through his veins as his smile went wide as he exclaimed "I am ready Gohan! Someone has to stop these Android's rampage and it shouid be us! ' The youth's gaze was serious "One really important thing though. We can't let mom find out. She doesn't want me to train... doesn't want me to fight them. But I have to! For the good of the world...! -to change the future!"

[Gohan]

Standing along side Gohan, lavender hair blowing in the wind, Trunks then turned to Gohan, looking up at him through blue eyes. Zeal coursed through his veins as his smile went wide as he exclaimed "I am ready Gohan! Someone has to stop these Android's rampage and it shouid be us! ' The youth's gaze was serious "One really important thing though. We can't let mom find out. She doesn't want me to train... doesn't want me to fight them. But I have to! For the good of the world...! -to change the future!"

Gohan looked at Trunks and he thought back on all their losses. He remembered his dad getting sick and dying and then the deaths of Vegeta and the other Z fighters and how terrible things have gotten, but looking at Trunks he could see the same spirit to succeed as his dad had and he gave him a smile and put his hand on his shoulder and he said, "You're mother will understand...at least she wasn't like my mom...she never wanted me to fight any. But this is a thing with Human parents and you and I are half Saiyan and our Dads were two of the greatest warriors this planet had so the least we can do is honor their memories by being just as great and saving this world from these Androids." He said then removed his hand and asked, "OK...its time to get you in fighting shape then once you feel up to it I will show you how to get stronger with your use of Ki...and I bet it won't take long before you will be able to give me a good run for my money." He then focused his ki then took flight and flew up over the city. He also wanted to keep an eye on things while doing this training.

[Trunks]

Trunks listened to Gohan intently and he knew what he was saying was true. He was sure at some point his mom would understand why he wanted to fight. He looked up as Gohan took off into the sky. He focused his ki, which was a little difficult for someone still learning, and took off after Gohan. He looked around and noticed the small cliffside not to far away from West City. He smiled and said, "Gohan. Let's go over to the cliffs over there. That way no one will mistake us for the androids while we are training."

Trunks pointed over to the cliffs and took off towards them, while wobbling through the sky. He landed and let out a sigh. He felt weird after flying and hoped it would get better with practice. He turn towards Gohan, while waiting for his master to land.

[Gohan]

Gohan watched as Trunks led the way to the cliffs and as he watched him he could feel his spirit. He really wanted to help fight the androids. He also knew the pain he felt at loosing those he cared about.

Gohan gave a sigh then drew on his ki and took flight and followed Trunks. He landed by him and he said, "This is gonna be the hardest thing you ever do...since you haven't been doing any kind of training we have to do a crash course...but first you need to master control of your ki...are you up for this?..." He asked then paused then said, "You can do this..."

[Trunks]

Trunks took his stance and took a deep breath. As he exhaled, his white aura enveloped his body and he began to charge his ki. His power was rising slightly, but nowhere near what he needed to show Gohan what he had learn on his own. As he continued to charge his ki, an audible sound came from within his gut. He began to yell out as he charged and then raised his arms above his head, his hands overlapping each other. A small yellow sphere began to form in the middle of his palm and he yelled out, "MASENKO!!! HA!!!"

Trunks pushed his arms forward and a yellow beam launched out of his palms and collided into the cliffside in front of him. After the dust cleared, a small crater was left were Trunks' attack had hit. He looked over to Gohan and said, "It's not as strong as yours, but I think I've made some progress on my own. With you training me Gohan, I'll keep getting strong and we'll be able to defeat those damn androids."

[Gohan]

Gohan watched as Trunk's performed his old Mesenko attack. He gave an approving smile then said, "Yes you have made progress, but we also need to remain on guard at all times..." He said as he looked at Trunks. The two of them continued training for some time and he felt Trunks improving at every attack. He then looked around not liking the open feeling he was having and he said to Trunks, "I Think we should move to a more isolated location to train some more..." he said as he had a feeling they were being watched.

[Trunks]

Trunks was happy when Gohan gave him praise his progress. I meant alot to hear that from his new master and his only friend. When Gohan stated they should move he shook his head. He said to Gohan, "Why would we move away from where your camp is? If you ask me this is our best place to train and it's so close to home." He looked at Gohan seriously.

[Gohan]

Gohan looked at Trunks and then out over the water towards West City. He gave a sigh then said, "I guess its just me being paranoid...but you are right. We have no need to move...not unless those stupid drones decide to come out this way...lets just be happy those androids can't detect Ki but we do need to be careful how visible our ki blasts are because even if they can't detect our ki they certainly have eyes and can see some of our blasts..." He then focused back onto Trunks and he said, "Lets continue...we only have a few hours of day light and we don't want to train at night...our ki will attract attention..." He said and dropped back into a fight stance and said, "Come at me now!.."

[Trunks]

"Alright! No holding backthis time!" Trunks would let his aura flare and launch at Gohan, first hit being a fist that would go high, easily blocked, followed up quickly by a low sleep targetting the back of Gohan's left calf

[Gohan]

Gohan quickly put his attention back on Trunks and he was surprised as he quickly found his confidence and came at him after he flared up his ki. He then rose his ki himself and as he did the two of them exchanged blow after blow. Trunks caught him a couple times with a couple good hits but they continued the fighting until the sun started to go down and as the two of them tired Gohan pulled back and said, "The sun is getting low and our presence will be easier to find...it is time to stop and take shelter...we can continue tomorrow" He said as he hovered in the air and looked at Trunks.

[Trunks]

At the end of it all, Trunks was breathing heavily, the knees of his jeans and white Capsule Corp shirt dirty from the fight. Maybe he should have brought a gi. he'd give a nod to Gohan "Yeah. Lets. " His eyes surveying the surroundings, unsure if they should shack up in a building here, or fly low and race home. He would wait for Gohan's lead.

[Gohan]

Gohan landed down on the ridge that overlooked West City off in the distance. He looked over at Trunks as he landed next to him and he said, "It is not gonna be safe being out in the open at night, but we are gonna need to go into town and find some supplies...its not gonna be safe staying in town, but I do have a special hide away we can stay where the androids can't find us..."

[Trunks]

Trunks surveyed the city for a moment with Gohan, before looking to his mentor and brother's lead again "Ok. Lets do this. We'll head home in the morning"

[Gohan]

Gohan looked at Trunks and then glanced back out at west city in the distance. He then said, "Come with me.." And he lead him to his secluded hiding spot that was in a cave. Once there he gave him a means to lay down by giving him his pad. He then worked on building a small fire for warmth and he sat and watched as Trunks eventually gave out and fell asleep. Gohan remained vigilant watching over Trunks and keeping a constant ear and eye open for trouble. As he sat watching Trunks sleep he thought of all the stuff that happened since the the first appearance of the androids and his heart went out to him as he lost so much at such a young age.

Through the night Gohan sat vigilant though the night and as the sun began to rise the need to get up and stretch made him stand up and stretch and walk out to the entrance of the cave and look out to see if anything new was there to be seen.

[Trunks]

Trunks let Gohan take the lead, being cautious as he moved. He'd watch as Gohan built the fire and they'd tlak tenative plans for he next day to avoid the Androids. The cave and improvised bed was comfy and despite being far from home, he fell asleep pretty easily.

Trunks did not rest easily. Dreams of Androids and his father fighting them. He awoke with a sudden burst and a gasp to find Gohan no place in sight. he'd toss aside his covers calling out for Gohan. , eventually finding his way out of the cave to see if he was at least somewhere close by

[Gohan]

Gohan was outside sitting up on a ridge over the cave they used as shelter. He was watching the West City in the distance and also the sunrise when he heard Trunks call for him. He then looked down and saw him and he called out, "Up here." He then waited for him to join him as he watched the city in the distance.

[Trunks]

Trunks climbed his way up to the ridge to look out over the scope of West City. He was still slightly groggy from an uneasy night. "You're up early. What are you doing all the way up here?' he'd ask, rubbing the back of his neck, trying to get the kink out

[Gohan]

Gohan looked over at Trunks as he came up to join him and he said, "I have been keeping an eye open on any trouble...so far things are quiet so if you still want to head over to Capsule Corp to get supplies then I suggest we go now...that way we can hopefully avoid those annoying drones those androids have ...do you think you can handle this because I need you at 100%..." He said as he stood up and waited to see if he was ready to go into the city.

[Trunks]

Trunks looked to Gohan with a nod. Quiet was good, but he knew drones or the Android could be anywhere. He'd give his signature pensive look to Gohan with a nod and pulled his eblows to his ribs "Alright lets go!" Trunks was ready for anything, letting Gohan lead on

[Gohan]

Gohan looked at Trunks he could see how much like his father he is and it gave him a sad smile. he then said, "Lets go and lets stay low so we can try and avoid detection, but be ready for anything." He said and then the two of them took off flying into the city. As they traveled he was watching for any unusual activities and so far all he saw was destruction and carnage.

[Trunks]

Trunks launched into the sky behind Gohan, making sure to keep his speed low and ki suppressed. He'd keep a low profile, sticking close to the sides of buildings... that way if there was any trouble, Gohan would be the first to find it and he could provide him with support. His own eyes and ears open to any abnormalities. His focus wasn't all the way therre though, his mind racing with thoughts of anxiety over their last encounter with the androids, and planning out in his head how he was going to do better this time and make Gohan proud!

[Gohan]

As Gohan and Trunks traveled into the city they kept an eye open for trouble and for a time it felt like they wouldn't run into any. That was quickly changed when he spotted a drone not far away. Hew then paused and grabbed Trunks by the arm and flew down to take cover. When they landed hiding behind a destroyed building wall. He looked at Trunks as he peaked out over the rubble and he said, "The drones are still out and I don't know if we were spotted but it is likely they did spot us and are now looking for us..."

[Trunks]

One moment Trunks was in his head, the next he was getting yoinked by the arm, downward, quickly. He heard Gohan. It was the drones. His eyes went wide and his heart dropped. He'd make a plan in his head. He'd think about how he'd provide support to Gohan if they got caught, or maybe they could find a way to sneak around... and voice that, his voice low "Uhh.. Do you think we can sneak by it Gohan...?"

[Gohan]

Gohan was holding Trunks back and directing him to be quiet as he watched the drone. He then looked over at Trunks as he saw him looking nervous. He then dropped down and said to Trunks, "We can do this...I believe in you." He said as he looked at him.

[Android 17]

A drone was going around the city, looking for any signs of high power levels in the area around it. It did detect something, but only for a second. In that second, it transmitted a signal to the androids, a signal that would bring them right to the location of the drone.

Android 17 during this was having the time of his life, as in he was taking shots at civilians running for their lives. It was a nice game, and at the moment was currently in the lead. Right after he shot a small beam through someone's head, he felt a ping go off in his head. "Oh, looks like the drone have found us a target." He hovers over and landed beside his sister. "The drone went off, seems like we have some new targets? Why not ditch these ones, you can't win against me." Without even turning his head, he aimed a beam backwards and hits someone in the heart. "10 points."

[Android 18]

18 had been playing a target game with her brother for a while. The target was anything that moved and the game was always who got the target first. She was always off by a fraction of a second and after hours of wearing out potential targets she started to get bored. She then heard the drone signal and heard what 17 said and then watched as he showed off his impeccable aim. She just rolled her eyes and said, "Show off..." she then crossed her arms as she hovered near her brother and she said, "The signal was coming from that direction..." She said as she pointed to a spot not far from the old Capsule Corp building.

18 then looked at her brother and said,"Best to not take any chances...we should go check it out..." and she took off in the direction of the drone. As she neared the spot she slowed down and started scanning the area.

[Android 17]

17 nods at the direction where she was pointing. "Yes. Let's not take any chances here. Not like anyone nowadays can challenge the two of us." He flys over to where the drone was signaling from and started to scan the surrounding area. At first, he didn't spot anything until he caught a glimpse of something. Deciding to play dumb to lower their guard, he flys up to his sister. "Looks like the drone was malfunctioning. Let's get out of here." As he said that, he gave a soft nod to where he figured someone would be.

[Android 18]

18 was looking around and caught sight of some slight movement. She then saw as 17 came over and said the drone must of been malfunctioning. She then saw the small smile on his face and she understood what he doing and she said, "Yeah it was probable picking up a stay animal or something..." the two of them began to fly off and as soon as they did they dipped to some cover to see if anyone was hiding.

[Trunks]

Trunks eyes went wide for a moment hearing Gohan he wasn't sure if he was ready yet. But Gohan believed in him. Those wide eyes would narrow and take on a look of determination as he took up a fighting stance. "Alright. Lets do this! Whats the plan?"

[Gohan]

Gohan looked at Trunks then said, "Let's go..." He then lead the way out from their cover. As he moved out he was looking all around as he tried to listen for movements...

[Android 17]

17 waited for a little longer for someone to appear. Then, he spotted his target:Gohan, the man that he's hunting for years. He smirked at the thought of fightning man once again. Then he saw someone new, a purple haired brat. "Oh well, must be some randown civilian."He thought to himself. He looks over at his sister and gives her a nod. He flys up high above the two people, his shadow covered up the sun so they knew that they were spotted. "I got you now you rats!!" He charges up two balls of energies and throws them right at them.

[Trunks]

Trunks eyes went wide seeing the Androids appear. Things just took a turn for the serious. The fight was here, he'd have to give it his all. The purple-haired teen shouted up to 17 "We'll make you eat those words!" Trunks eyes narrowed with as much focus as he could muster so he could concentrate on where 17's energy blasts would go. He'd plan to weave between them before they could land or find their mark. His fist clenched hard, ready to rocket it's way to 17's face as soon as those energy blasts went off

[Gohan]

As Gohan moved out into the open with Trunks by his side he suddenly heard Android 17 as he moved out into view. He barely had a moment to take a defensive move and just as he did the android fired off two energy balls. Gohan braced himself for the strike and as it came at him he flew back just as it struck the spot where he once stood.

He then drew on his ki and fired off several ki blasts at him...

[Android 18]

Android 18 was watching from a different angle and as she looked at the two saiyan half breeds she grinned. She could see both of them did not see her and she moved out into the open on their left and she fired some of her own ki blasts at them from their left side.

[Android 17]

Android 17 just lightly chuckled at the words of the half saiyan. "Make us eat those words? You couldn't be able to hurt me, let alone be enough to challenge us." Turning his head slightly, he spotted the likes of Gohan, his and 18's favorite toy to play with. "If it isn't Gohan, still trying to keep weaklings alive." He watched Gohan as he saw him fire a multitude of energy blasts straight at him. He extends his arms out and a green sheen barrier surround 17. When the blasts hit him, it didn't do a thing to him.

[Trunks]

Trunks fist rockets at the Android, But then when the Android activated his green force barrier, Trunks' hand would smack into it like a steel wall along with all of Gohan's ki blasts. Fingers crackling and then whole arm and face then crumpling into the barrier. The half Saiyan got his bell rung just by that shield alone. How was he going to get around this? he didn't want to rely just on Gohan. He was going to contribute some how. Think Trunks, think!

[Gohan]

Gohan didn't see when Android 18 showed herself and when he did see her he was blindsided by ki blasts that pushed him back. The hits hurt and he grunted. He then heard what 17 said and he said, "HE ISN'T WEAK!..." He said with a growl then charged up his ki for a masenko. He then raised his hands over his head, formed a ki ball and and threw it at 17 as it grew big.

[Android 17]

17 just chuckled at Gohans remark about trunks. "He must be weak if he's hanging with a man like you."He laughed at the fact that his sister blindsided Gohan with a barrage of blasts. "Oh man, that was good! Way to prove my point ever further!" He was in his own amusement that he didn't even notice Gohan charging his masenko and firing it. When 17 did noticed, it was right in his face. The beam hit him and made a huge amount of smoke, making everyone lose sight of him.
