Planet Vampa: Arrival of King Chikimaru; Brolys Restraint

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Not many months after the coronation of Devlin as King of Azurath, the planet had begun to flourish past his expectations. Within in 4 short months the entire planet was ran by Hydro Solar and Wind powers, agriculture was at an all time high with the last harvest providing enough crops to last the planets populace for an entire year. On top of Devlin creating a purification system that he released into Azurath’s various bodies of water providing a clean and continuous supply of fresh consumable water, he found no issue in the resolution of such technical issues. His latest effort was of continuing the training and body of the Royal Legion, during the bout with Yamoshi Devlin was not present for the passing of Second General Nappa whom was his childhood mentor. Devlin found this resting on his mind very often and not long after found himself drifting into a depression, deciding that maybe some new scenery might help he informed the planet of his momentary departure and in his leave left a Copy Drone of himself. Devlin made his way to the landing strip his shuttle was on and stood before it and stared at it smiling, he had had this very shuttle space cruiser since he was 13 when he made it all himself. Devlin went in and made his way to the cockpit as the ship began to boot on, when he arrived he sat in his chair and laid his hand on the dashboard in front of him, a screen popped on and asked how he’d prefer to drive and he selected manually and the part of his gauntlets that controlled the ship via hand motions turned on and he took off deep into space.
“Ragnarok, commence Pulsar Ki Sonar waves. I do not care how insignificant of a power level you find if you find one I want to know immediately.”
Devlin said bluntly as he saw a planet that off in the distance after flying for a good 20 minutes, almost immediately the planet had crosshairs on it indicating 2 power levels on its surface. As Devlin got closer he observed the planet seemed barren of life and damn near inhospitable for it as well, Devlin slowly descended on the planet and landed near what he could see was an old Frieza Force ship. He left the ship and walked up to it seeing that his assumption was correct, he hadn’t seen a ship like this in at least 20 years and it took him back. He scanned the ship and everything about it came back, it was beyond repair and had a cracked floater disk so whoever was commandeering this was most likely dead by now yet two significant enough power levels still lingered. Devlin took a deep breath and turned in the direction of the energy he sensed and began to slowly walk in that direction, if anyone was still on this shithole of a planet they’d run into him eventually.

[Paragus]

When Paragus fled Planet Vegeta after King Vegeta saw it more fitting to banish his young son to a wretched world he left with only some bare supplies he kept on him at all times. He also had some supplies hidden on his ship to help in case things went bad with Broly's unusually high power reading.

Paragus was sitting on a rock away from his son who was doing some training with one of the beasts of the planet. He was reflecting back on when he was still on Planet Vegeta and how he first found out that the scientists there had suspicions on Broly and began looking at him closer. When they found out his power was so much higher than anyone he ever known at that young age he began to grow worried. He tried to think of a solution before he left. A solution to suppress his power before it consumed him.

As he sat on the rock he held in his hand a real sketchy control collar he built from some spare parts off his broken ship. He held it in his hands and as he sat staring at it he knew just by holding it that it wouldn't work. There was no power supply to it and the material was not impressively strong. He then looked up and saw a ship enter the atmosphere and he stood up as he looked off in the direction it went and as he did he realized it must of picked up on Broly's signature. He then put the make shift collar on a hook on his hip and took off to try and intercept before whoever it was landed and met Broly before he could be there to stop him.

[Broly]

Broly was training by going after some of the more lethal insectoid creatures that liked to swarm him. At one time he would train with his friend Ba but after his father blasted off his ear he wouldn't come near him. He hated his father for what he did and how he separated him from his only friend. After that incident he took Ba's fallen ear and made a hip wrap of it in honor of the friendship they had.

As he was training he heard a ship coming his way and he landed on the ground after stopping and looked out at the ship that was approaching his location.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

As Devlin slowly walked towards the higher power level he sensed the second slightly weaker signature begin to approach him from behind, Devlin stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder. Both energy signatures seemed oddly familiar to him but he couldn’t put his finger on it, he reared around and shot off with Extreme Speed times 3 and shot towards the weaker of the two. When he got about 10 feet from them he dug his heels into the ground stopping himself with a boom, he stood before an old Saiyan man that he had not seen in decades.
“Paragus, what are you doing here? I haven’t seen you since before Planet Vegeta was destroyed, is there where you’ve been at?”
Devlin said with curiosity.

[Paragus]

Paragus was about to call Broly back from his training to hunting for food, but heard a voice he had not heard in almost 24 years. He turned and saw what looked like an older version of Devlin Chikimaru Vegeta, but how could this be. Last he had heard on the ship comms before they died was that Planet Vegeta was destroyed. He got off his rock and stared at Devlin with mild curiosity and loathing. He scoffed and said, "You saw the state of my ship, Chikimaru. Tell me how I was going to escape from this planet? Speaking of which, why the hell re you on Vampa and how the hell did you survive the destruction of Vegeta?" He could sense his son getting defensive and put a hand out towards him. He looked back at his son, "Its's fine Broly. He is not the saiyan we aim to destroy. We might as well hear what the lead research of the former king has to say." Paragus crossed his arms and waited for a response.

[Broly]

Broly had been training when he stopped and watched as someone was coming towards his direction. He then saw his father show up and the stranger came at him with speed. He immediately went on the defensive and then he heard what his father said. He looked at him and gave a low growlish groan and he watched the stranger with a taste of dislike but he did nothing unless his father told him to do something.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin listened as Paragus spoke and sensed the animosity in his words and he took a deep breath to remain his composure and looked over his shoulder to see the hulking Saiyan behind him, he was hit with a sense of Deja vu of him and heard as Paragus addressed him as Broly and told him to stand down.
“I see, I can assume the broken floater and lack of power would cause an issue with that. As for my survival I was tasked with shadowing the Prince before King Vegeta perished with the rest of our race and planet, I had left merely moments before the destruction of Vegeta. I have been residing on a very well protected planet with 2 of the 9 Saiyans left alive serving as the General of the Royal Army and Royal Scientist, recently I have assumed the position of King in the previous kings absence. I was out looking for him when I found the two of you and I must admit I’m surprised that you two survived so long on your own, I can provide you with some food rations to last you for a few years or I could try to fix up your ship. I mean you no harm Paragus and I know the hatred you hold for Vegeta but I am no and never was a Vegeta.”
Devlin said as he pointed over to his luxury ship.

[Paragus]

Paragus listened as Devlin spoke of what he had been doing for the past twenty odd years and can tell that he was well off. He tossed the collar toward Devlin and said, "I don't need your pity, but what you can do is fix the shock collar you made me so long ago. Broly's rage can still get out of hand and its the only way I can reign him in. And before you go warning me about the collar, I recommend you focus on your new kingdom before lowering yourself down to giving me advice on how to deal with my child. If you want to leave us food, than that's on you. I don't want to burden your society you rule over. All I care about is making sure Broly is strong enough to get our revenge on those who get in our way."

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin caught the collar and listened as Paragus spoke telling him that the only thing he would need from him was the collar being fixed and that he didn’t want to burden his society by getting help from Devlin, as Paragus spoke Devlin had procured a small screwdriver from his belt and had begun tinkering with the collar.
“I show pity to no man, only kindness. I can fix this for you, it appears the motherboard was fried to shit so that’s an easy fix. As for food, I have plenty of resources back on the planet the rations I have on ship are for people who need it. I have a larger project in the works, one where I can find a way to not only help the people of the universe but unite them as well. It is like I said Paragus we are three of a fistful of a damn near extinct race we have to look out for one another. Here the collar is fixed, don’t worry I won’t tell you not to overuse it or how to raise Broly because I know that’s going to cause a fight I am not ready for.”
Devlin said as he finished up on the collar and tossed it to Paragus, he shot to his ship and came back out with about 8 large crates of food in one arm and placed it between the two Saiyans.
“Like I said should last you for the next couple of months to a year, I amped the voltage on the collar so it should be more effective. So Broly, I haven’t seen you since you were an infant how ya been?”

[Paragus]

Paragus listened as Devlin seemed to expertly fix his collar, per his request. Talking on finding a way to unite all of the races and the universe was far above his pay grade. He scoffed at the very idea of it. Then, Devlin tossed him back the collar and it seemed to be better than it was. He watched as Devlin shot off toward the ship he arrived on and returned with 8 boxes with what he presumed was food. He got up and went over toward the boxes and cracked them open to see strange capsule like things. He grabbed one and turned toward Devlin and said, "I appreciate you leaving food for us, but what are these strange contraptions in this box? Also, Broly!" Paragus turned toward his son and said, "Devlin asked you a question. Remember to use your manners or so help me."

[Broly]

Broly was standing not far from both his father and Devlin and he was listening to the two of them speak. When he heard his father was wanting to get that collar that caused him pain every time he lost his temper get fixed he only got a slight look of hate in his eyes but it vanished as fast as it showed. He then saw the food capsules he he heard his father ask what they were and he leaned over and looked at them. He then heard his father talk to him and remind him that Devlin spoke to him and he stood back up straight and looked at his father and then at Devlin and he said, "I am fine..." he said dully.

Broly didn't want to say how he really felt, or how he hated this planet they were stuck on, or how he hated how his father treated him. Instead he remained stoic without any sign of guilt. He then stepped back and watched the both of them. He was also looking at the improved collar that Devlin gave his father and he felt a small touch of fear at looking at it. He knew the old version gave painful shocks but it wasn't long ago he got mad and managed to brake it. He was scared to know what the improvements really were.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin listened as Paraguay spoke of the capsules and then barked at Broly to respond, in which he did with a dull answer that Devlin could see straight through. He looked at Broly for a moment locking eyes with him as he did, Broly seemed afraid to answer how he wanted and his eyes kept darting to the collar.
“Fine is better than dead I suppose, the capsules you see Paragus have the food inside of them you press the button and throw it and the food appears. I feel as if I overstayed my welcome, I do hope you remember not to torture the boy with the collar it could come back to bite you what with his insanely high power level and all. But I’m not here to what did you say, tell you how to raise your son? I do wish the two of you stay safe and alive, maybe we can find a place on my new home for you in the future.”
Devlin said and slowly walked back towards the ship.

[Paragus]

Paragus took the capsule in his hand and pressed the top button. He heard the click and tossed it in front of Broly and watched as miniature explosion erupted from the device. As the smoke cleared he saw a small buffet appear in front of Broly. He smirked and said, "Dig in Broly." As Broly began to tear into the food Paragus snuck up behind him and placed his collar back on around his son's neck. With a definite click, the collar was secure. Paragus pulled the remote from his pocket and saw the green light indicating it was connected to the collar. He then turned back to Devlin and said, "Feel free to stop by later Devlin... I want to see what the fabled prodigal combat genius can teach my son. As for the collar, It's only use when I need to reign him in before he loses control. As for a place on your new home... best not to bring a danger like Broly to it. If he feels threaten in anyway, he'll snap and kill them and most of your new race." Paragus paused for a moment as a swell of saiyan pride rose in his chest. He looked at Devlin sternly and said, "You may have been raised by that bastard, King Vegeta, but you act like your real father. I only wish Bardock was around to see what kind of man you have become."

[Broly]

Broly was watching his father and Devlin closely. He saw Devlin hand his father the new collar and his eyes narrowed ever so slightly. He was then surprised by the odd capsules and he bent over the box and touched one. He then saw his father press a button on one and toss it to the ground near him and a buffet of food appeared the the smells of the savory foods assaulted his nose and his stomach grumbled. He then heard his father tell him to dig in and he went to the food and tried some of it and when he found it tasting so good he began to devour everything. He was so caught up in eating that he didn't even feel his father put the collar on his neck until it closed shut. He then stopped and grabbed at the collar and looked at his father a moment then turned back to the food.

Broly paused only a moment when he heard his father speak to Devlin about teaching his something and he looked at Devlin and sized him up and decided there was no challenge there so he went back eating and ignoring the two of them as they spoke.

Only difference is he can turn into a Super Saiyan like the rest of us, and as for Broly I saw his side eye. I may not look like much but me and him have that overwhelming rage in common, only difference is I don’t need a shock collar to control it. Before becoming king I was given the task to help three other Saiyans along with myself train and learn how to control what we refer to it as our Wrathful state, coupling that with Super Saiyan and I’d say that would make me on par if not stronger than your boy, even then I’ve found losing control to help teach you how to reign yourself in without outside interference. Broly was eating when he heard what Devlin said and as he listened to him he stopped eating and looked at Devlin. He then stood back up and went over to him and looked down at him and he was looking over him with a bit more scrutiny. He then said, "Wrathful?...explain this term..." he asked now honestly curious. He glanced briefly at his father then turned back to Devlin and he said, "I want to learn more...I want to learn how to control my anger..."

[Paragus]

Paragus watched as Devlin reappeared in front of him and his son, lazily floating in the air. He could see that some of King Vegeta's arrogance had rubbed off onto Devlin after all, and it annoyed him greatly. He then heard that Bardock was still alive, as well as his younger sister. He smirked as Devlin mentioned a myth of the saiyan race and watched Devlin address Broly on his rage and a supposed Wrathful state. He saw for the first time in a long time, Broly take interest in another person. Paragus chuckled as he jumped back on to a ridge not far from the other two and said, "I find this to be agreeable and even Broly seems intrigued. If he get to close to killing you, then I'll step in. Broly!" Paragus turned his attention toward his son and a fire lit within his eyes as he yelled, "SHOW HIM YOUR MIGHT AND BRING HONOR BACK TO OUR FAMILY NAME!!! DO IT BROLY!!!!" Paragus thrusted his hand forward and pointed toward Devlin.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin watched as Broly grew interested and spoke of wanting to learn more and then Paragus agreed with the scenario and commanded Broly to attack, a blazing inferno burned in Devlin’s pale blue eyes and he once more disappeared appearing once more on his feet adjusting himself as he dropped his armor. His slightly tanned skin was riddled in scars and tattoos but was heavily defined with muscle, Devlin stretched quickly and assumed a fighting position.
“Guess I’ll put it simply since you just got the order, right at the moment you are going to be overwhelmed by your power think of the one thing that makes you the happiest and only that but you must understand at the same time this power is simply yours. I think I will fight you in my base form for a little bit and then I’ll show you the power of the fabled Super Saiyan.”

[Broly]

Paragus watched as Devlin reappeared in front of him and his son, lazily floating in the air. Broly was looking at Devlin and at first he showed no real emotions as he sized up the challenge. It wasn't until his father gave him the go ahead to bring honor back to their family name that his expression changed. He also heard what Devlin said and he wasn't moved by anything he said and even when he heard him speak of Super Saiyan he paid it no attention. Instead he found the tone of Devlin's calm and lack of worry to be annoying.

He then saw Devlin stretch then go into a fight pose and his eyes went into an angry look and he immediately charged at Devlin ready to pound him into the ground.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin watched as Broly’s expression changed and when he rushed him he felt a slight sense of panic, Devlin activated his Extreme Speed to a multiplier of eight and shot at Broly hitting him from the side and then appearing in front of him with both hands placed together.
“Concussive Ki Pulse!”
Devlin said quickly and shot a concussive pulse of Ki energy at Broly as he backflipped a good distance away, even just starting Devlin could tell that he did not want Broly to get ahold of him. His best bet was keeping his distance and moving in for fast paced blows and making distance between them again, something about Broly was different to him and the others and he couldn’t put his finger on it.

[Broly]

Devlin watched as Broly’s expression changed and when he rushed him he felt a slight sense of panic, Devlin activated his Extreme Speed to a multiplier of eight and shot at Broly hitting him from the side and then appearing in front of him with both hands placed together.

As Broly charged at Devlin he was not used to having a competent challenger so when Devlin moved at extreme speed, hit him on his side and then suddenly appear in front of him and released a concussive ki blast at him. This caused him to pause and bring up his arms to shield his face from the stinging ki attack. When the attack ended and he unshielded his face he saw Devlin was keeping his distance and it made him angry. He then charged at him again and as he did he felt his anger rise and as it did his sense of thinking straight started to waver and all he could do was focus on getting ahold of Devlin.

As Broly focused on getting ahold of Devlin he was finding him dodging his moves and as he did this his anger rose and as it rose so did his ki and soon he let out a roar, stopped chasing and charged up a ki attack and fired a ki blast that had a yellowish green tint. As he fired this first blast it missed its target and then he got even more angry then used both hands to fire off multiple ki blasts...

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin watched as Broly brought his arms up to block his face and then quickly recovered from his attack, the expression on his face was pure anger as he rushed Devlin and began to throw punches that Devlin was easily able to dodge. As exceptionally powerful as he was his attacks weren’t focused, Devlin continued to evade him when Broly stopped and let out a rage induced roar and fired a massive beam at him. As Broly attacked Devlin he was finding him to be surprisingly challenging in a way he wasn't used to. All he ever got to know what how to do basic brawling, but as he fought this smaller more agile Saiyan he was seeing how he fought. When he fired off a ki blast he found him able to batt it away and this made him pause for only a second then he more angry but before he could make another move he was suddenly tackled to the ground and as he laid on his back Devlin then pushed off of him as he headbutted him in the stomach. The shock of it made him suck in air and double over and stumble back a step. When he looked up he saw Devlin out of his reach.

Broly narrowed his eyes and let out another roar and went at him again and this time him anger rose to new levels and as he flew at him he came on him with speed and determination. When he came up on him he went at him with a heavy melee of punches and kicks and then a heavy punch as he hit him on the shoulder sending him flying to the ground. He then went to follow where he landed to continue pounding him.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin watched as Broly sprung up and stumbled backwards before his rage grew and he shot at Devlin with an insanely fast flurry of blows causing him to stumble backwards before he was shoulder checked to the ground, before he had the chance to move Broly was back on him continuing his assault. Devlin took blow after blow and every couple he received he swung at Broly’s head connecting with precise accuracy. Devlin felt himself begin to fade when he shot a ki blast from his mouth directly at the attacking Saiyan at point blank range.

[Broly]

Devlin watched as Broly sprung up and stumbled backwards before his rage grew and he shot at Devlin with an insanely fast flurry of blows causing him to stumble backwards before he was shoulder checked to the ground, before he had the chance to move Broly was back on him continuing his assault. Devlin took blow after blow and every couple he received he swung at Broly’s head connecting with precise accuracy. Devlin felt himself begin to fade when he shot a ki blast from his mouth directly at the attacking Saiyan at point blank range.

As Broly attacked Devlin he only knew the command his father gave him. He was never given to personal thoughts of what he should or shouldn't do when his father gave him a command to attack. His mind was devoid of thinking and his eyes were focused on his target. As he pounded blow after blow on Devlin's face and chest he got hit back when there was an opening. This just caused him to get more angry and as he was about to come down on him again he was hit with a mouth blast to the face at point blank range. This caused him to fly back and crash up against a mountain.
