Hardship and Pride: A Father and Son Speak With Their Hearts

[Bussel]

Ruba chuckled at his son's tenacity. It reminded him of when he was younger and wished to be the strongest while training with Teelo. A single tear rolled down his cheek and he let out a sigh. He wiped the tear away and said, "Never would I have thought that I would have a son like you Bussel. Your tenacity and need for growth reminds me of the days I trained with your grandmother. It's because of her I was able to reach the heights I am at currently. It only makes sense that I would do the same for you. How about we make this interesting."

Ruba walked away from Rasha and Bussel until he was at least fifty feet away from them. He turned back towards them and said, "You by yourself are not strong enough to challenge me, Bussel, but teaming up with your mother will allow us both to fight with our all. Who knows maybe you'll unlock the next form of the super saiyan transformation. Do either of you object to this proposal?" Ruba was eager to hear his wife and child's responses.

Rasha was about to make a suggestion when Ruba beat her to it and she gave a smirk and said, "I was just about to suggest me teaming up with Bussel...you beat me to it..." She said with a small giggle then turned to Bussel and said, "Do you object to this idea?..."

Bussel listened to his father speak and he was left silent. He then thought about the last bit and then heard his mother speak. He then said, "Wait?...you mean you want to join me in fighting father?..." he asked then saw his mother nod yes.

Bussel then looked at the both of them and said, "I'm OK with it...should make for an interesting fight..."

[Ruba]

Ruba listened and smiled as his wife came up with the same idea as him. He looked to his son and saw the smile on his face at the idea. He looked at both of them and said, "We'll fight as super saiyans, and if we need to increase our powers, we'll do so according. Bussel, I'll let you make the first move. Come at me!" Ruba got into his fighting stance as his aura exploded around him, calling his son over with a beckoning finger.

[Bussel]

Bussel was excited when his father told him to make the first move and as he watched his father's aura explode out he followed suit and allowed his aurashoot up. He then dropped into a fight pose and then with swift action he went at his father. As he did he laced his hands with his ki and went at his father. As he flew at him the two of them clashed with fists and speed.

[Rasha]

Rasha gave a grin as she watched Bussel get excited and dash in for a fight. She then powered up and allowed her ki to shoot up and she quickly followed suit and caught up with Bussel and the two of flew a Ruba and ki infused punches.

[Ruba]

Ruba watched as Bussel got excited at the prospect of this fight and laced his fist with ki and charged him. He prepared to begin his fight with his son, when Rasha followed Bussel's lead and laced her fists in ki and charged him. He chuckled and started to block the onslaught coming from both his wife and son with ease. He then caught both of their fist and pulled them into each other. As Rasha and Bussel slammed their heads into each other, Ruba tossed Bussel away and began to go into a flurry with Rasha. Ruba looked over towards Bussel and said, "That all you got, Bussel? Your a super saiyan now, so show me what you can do."

[Bussel]

Ruba watched as Bussel got excited at the prospect of this fight and laced his fist with ki and charged him. He prepared to begin his fight with his son, when Rasha followed Bussel's lead and laced her fists in ki and charged him. He chuckled and started to block the onslaught coming from both his wife and son with ease. He then caught both of their fist and pulled them into each other. As Rasha and Bussel slammed their heads into each other, Ruba tossed Bussel away and began to go into a flurry with Rasha. Ruba looked over towards Bussel and said, "That all you got, Bussel? Your a super saiyan now, so show me what you can do."

As Bussel move in with his fight with his dad he saw his mother join in. The both of them immediately went at him with both fists and kicks that should of done something but instead he was hovering motionless while blocking the moves with a skill that baffled him.

He was then surprised by his quick action and he got his fist caught. He gave a shocked face and then saw that his father also caught his mother's fist and in one swift motion he was yanked forward and saw that he was heading right at his mother and the two of them were forced to hit heads. He was then tossed aside and he fell on his back.

Bussel then looked up and saw how his father was focusing on his mother and he narrowed his eyes and got back up. As he did he formed two ki balls in each hand and said, "I don't think so!!...I'm not gonna get ignored like that so easier!!..."

He then sent a mental message to his mother and said, "Be ready for some fireworks!" And he saw her look at him and as she did she done a backflip and kicked his father in the jaw and gave some space.

Once she was out of his way he released a barage of ki blasts at his father.

[Rasha]

Ruba watched as Bussel got excited at the prospect of this fight and laced his fist with ki and charged him. He prepared to begin his fight with his son, when Rasha followed Bussel's lead and laced her fists in ki and charged him. He chuckled and started to block the onslaught coming from both his wife and son with ease. He then caught both of their fist and pulled them into each other. As Rasha and Bussel slammed their heads into each other, Ruba tossed Bussel away and began to go into a flurry with Rasha. Ruba looked over towards Bussel and said, "That all you got, Bussel? As Rasha moved in on the attack along side her son Bussel she was not really surprised when Ruba blocked their moved then caught the both of them by their fists and pulled then both in and caused the two of them to smack heads. She then saw as Ruba tossed Bussel aside to turn on her. She then went in to a full on fight with Ruba. Their punches and kicks causing shockwaves as they fought. She then heard Bussel tell her mentally to give him a chance and she could tell he had a plan so when she went in for another kick she did so and backflipped as she did and caught him upside the chin and then landed a couple feet away just as Bussel released a barrage of ki blasts.

[Ruba]

Ruba watched as Bussel recovered from being flung and Rasha was still on the offensive. He chuckled as he and Rasha began to get serious, but was caught off guard by the sudden kick to his chest as Rasha backflipped away from him. He chuckled and looked over to her, but was caught off guard by a storm of ki blasts coming from Bussel. He felt each hit and was surprised by the force behind them. He chuckled to himself as he began to walk through the ki blasts and was directly in front of Bussel.

He smiled and said, "Hello boyo, hope your ready." Ruba laced his fist with ki and slammed it into Bussel's chest and flew him directly into Rasha. He slammed Bussel into Rasha and then both of them into a mountain. He jumped back with a big smile on his face and opened his mouth wide as an Emerald Green ball formed. He smirked as he released his full power Emerald Roar directly at his family buried in the mountain.

[Rasha]

Rasha knew Ruba's dendacies to strike hard but when she gave Bussel the chance to attack Ruba she saw him walk through the ki blasts and then when she saw him smile she had a bad feeling and just as she realized what was happening she saw the emerald green ball form at his mouth and saw how Bussel was right between them and she got hit by Bussel as Ruba slammed him into her sending the both of them flying into the side of a mountain.

As she was buried into the side of the mountain she saw the grim on Ruba's face and then the emerald green ball form at his mouth and she yelled, "Ahh SHIT!!...MOVE!!!....NOW!!!". She yelled at Bussel knowing they couldn't give any delays. She then pushed him off her and caused him to fall away. However, before she could get out of the way she was hit by his emerald roar.

The resulting blast sent Rasha through the mountain and as she flew out the back side she shot straight up in the air to catch her breath and collect strength for another attack. She then powered up and shot down and headed right for Ruba.

[Bussel]

Ruba watched as Bussel recovered from being flung and Rasha was still on the offensive. Once Bussel released a barrage ki attack at his father he watched as he walked through it with little effects and before he had a moment to react he was face to face with his father, caught the sarcasm in his voice and was hit in the chest with a ki infused punch. the resulting hit sent him right into his mother and the both of them into the side of a mountain. He barely had a chance to look up when he mother pushed him off of her telling him to move and then just barely missed an emerald roar from his father that sent a beam of energy right at his mother sending her through the mountain. He then watched as she shot up in the air from the other end of the mountain and came flying right at his father. He then took the moment to join his mother and he followed in and went at his father and as he did he formed to ki blades and using a series of twirls he released a series of strong ki slashes that criss crossed each other in rapid succession.

[Ruba]

Ruba watched as Rasha pushed Bussel out of the way and took his Emerald Roar head on. He smirked as he watched her erupt from under the mountain and into the air. He watched as she took a deep breath and release more of her power to fight him and charged him. He was about to fly forward and meet her, but was caught off guard by a series of ki slashes that came from the ruined mountain. He was able to block a few of them, but one caught him across the chest and another across his eye.

Ruba reeled back as he tried wipe the blood from his eye, but felt ad Rasha slammed into him. He began to tumble back and landed on his ass. He quickly shot up in the air trying to gain distance and stop the bleeding, but where Bussel caught him above the eye began to bleed profusely. Rasha watched as Bussel caught Ruba off guard with his ki blade attack and she could see that his attack caused serious wounds around his eyes causing blood to go into his vision. She then became aware of the situation he created and before she had a chance to say something they were caught in a deadly shower of ki coming down on them.

Rasha didn't get a chance to shield her son and their distance was too great so all she could do is create a psychic shield just as the ki blasts showered down on them. She knew this kind of attack and she knew she couldn't fully shield herself.

The ki blasts cut through her shield and caught her in several spots. The resulting hits only caused her anger to rise. When the attack ended she has several cuts on her arms and back.

She then looked over at Bussel and saw him looking in shock up at the air. She then saw the ki burns and cuts on him and she grew alarmed. She then flew over to him and as she did his demeanor hardened and his hand came up and knocked her away with a determined attitude. She stumbled back when she got hit and she looked at her son and realized he just got serious.

[Bussel]

Bussel watched as his attack worked but it only worked for a moment before his father broke through, but not without injuries. He then was taken off guard by the sudden raining ki attack he done and in his shock he was both slow to move and forgot about shielding himself so when the ki blasts came raining down he was peppered with ugly ki related wounds. The shock of the attack left him momentarily stunned and silent and as he looked at his father he saw his mother coming to help him but he raised his hand and knocked her away.

His anger began to surface in honest and he finally felt a need to let it out and he yelled out and powered up to super saiyan 2 and as he felt the power rise he focused on his father and in the moment the change in power happened he took off at his father just as he saw him wipe the last of the blood out of his eyes. As he flew at him he became acutely aware of his injuries and he gritted his teeth at the pain.

[Ruba]

Ruba was trying to clear the blood from his eyes as he rained ki blast down on to the battlefield. When he final was able to see again, he could see the damage he had caused and smirked as he saw Rasha and Bussel still kicking. He looked at his son who roared and charged him. It took Ruba a moment to see, but Bussel unlocked super saiyan 2. Ruba chuckled and said, "Come on and show me what you got, son!"

Rasha watched as Ruba went at Bussel again and as she watched the both of them she could see the wounds. She started to feel nervousness when Ruba suddenly grabbed Bussel by his leg and fling him towards her.

Rasha had to think quick as her son came flying at her and she held up her hands and caught him with her telekinetic abilities. As she righted him and slowed his action she said, "Ok!!...I think you two have had enough..." she then looked at Ruba and said, "Time to stop so i can go get some Senzu Beans...the both of you are looking a bit rough"

[Ruba]

Ruba watched as his wife caught their son with her telekinetic abilities and lowered him to the ground. Ruba slowly lowered himself down and landed next to the as Rasha spoke to both him and Bussel. Ruba was smiling while breathing heavy and said, "Your one to talk Rasha. Your armor is broken to shit and your covered in cuts. Sorry about that Emerald Roar... I got a little carried away." Ruba sat down next to his wife and son and laughed hysterically. He looked toward Bussel and said, "Your really a chip off the old block you know kiddo. In the span of an hour you not only unlocked Super Saiyan, but caused yourself to ascend to the next step of Super Saiyan Two. Gotta say I'm very proud of you son. Keep this up and you'll replace me and your mother in no time."

[Bussel]

Bussel was getting into the fight he was having with his father when he was caught off guard and grabbed by the leg and tossed towards his mother. He was then suddenly caught in an invisible grip and righted and placed back on his feet.

He looked at his mother and was about to make a fuss at getting in the way but he then saw the stern look on her face and he stopped. He then heard his father and he then said, "Oh...yeah...I guess..." He said then paused then said, "Hey wait...what do you mean replace you??..." He looked at his father in confusion

[Rasha]

Rasha looked at Ruba and heard what he said and looked at her armor and gave a chuckle and said, "I guess I'm used to the effects of these training fights...I forget to look at my own issues...I better go get some senzu beans...I will be right back. You two behave..." She said then instant transmitted back to the palace.

When she got to the palace she went to her special garden and got several senzu beans and put them in a pouch. She then went to their quarters and changed into new armor and under clothes after she took a senzu bean to heal her own wounds.

She then left the palace and returned to Ruba and Bussel and gave both of them a senzu bean.

[Ruba]

Ruba watched as Rasha left the chamber after laughing at the fact her armor was destroyed. He looked to Bussel, who seemed concerned about that last thing he said. He gave a sigh as Rasha returned with senzu beans and handed him and Bussel one. Ruba stood up as he ate the senzu and turned towards Bussel saying, "What do you think I mean Bussel? Someday, your mother and I will grow old and move on and you'll have to take up the mantle as King of Azurath. It's how life works you know. Everyone's life comes to an end at some point, but our memories and desires will live on in those we leave behind. I'm just glad I get to watch you grow into a strong young man before I die." Ruba gave his son a smile and looked out over the beautiful scenery of the Serenity Chamber.

[Rasha]

When Rasha returned with the Senzu beans she handed one to Ruba and one to Bussel and then watched as the both of them ate their beans. She then ate hers and listened as Ruba spoke to Bussel.

[Bussel]

Bussel watched as his mother left and he looked over at his father and when she returned he took the senzu bean she gave him and he ate it then listened to what his father said and he said, "I guess but I don't know if I'm ready for something like that..." He said as he thought of loosing his parents. He then heard the last part of what his father said and he looked at his father and said, "I want to be strong like you...but I don't want to see you die..." he said not knowing how to handle such a thought. He knew he was still young and the concepts of life and death are still new in his mind.

[Ruba]

Ruba looked towards Bussel as he ate his senzu bean and chuckled as he listened to his son have doubts. Ruba looked to Bussel and said, "Your mother and I are only in our forties so you have us for awhile, kiddo. As for getting strong like me... when I was your age, I was nowhere near this strong. You not only have exceeded me when I was your age, but your quickly catching up to me. You get that from your mother's side of the family. If you ever get to meet your grandpa Bardock, you'll see what I mean."

Ruba looked towards Bussel as he ate his senzu bean and chuckled as he listened to his son have doubts. Bussel listened to his father and he felt a sigh of relief and he then felt a swell of pride at hearing how he has advanced so fast. He then heard about his Grandfather and he said, "My Grandfather?...where is he?...I can't remember if I ever met him?..."

He then looked at both of his parents and he said, "I never though I could accomplish so much so fast...but what now?...are we gonna continue fighting?..."

[Rasha]

Rasha listened to both Ruba and Bussel speak and she said, "You will meet your Grandfather one day soon...he has been away doing his own training and being with our other family on Earth." She said then paused then said, "You need to understand that we live a very unique life and our world is special...we also have enemies that are very strong and we can not afford to faulter in our strength...we have learned that finding and achieving goals while young makes the journey into adulthood alot more successful so we are proud you have unlocked these two forms...now it's time to see how well you can handle them...and I think our first lesson needs to be sustainability while in your super saiyan form...if you can sustain this form while training you will be able to grow in strength..." She said and looked at Ruba and said, "Don't you agree..."

[Ruba]

Ruba listened as his wife explained everything expertly to Bussel. He chuckled to himself and was happy she was getting into Bussel's training. When she asked his thoughts, he cleared his throat and said, "I agree and I'm sure nothing will happen on Earth while we are in here for two years. Not sure if I told you Bussel, but two years in here is one day out in the real world. So what do you say kiddo? Want to train with us for two years and become stronger?" Ruba waited with eager anticipation for Bussel's response.

Ruba listened as his wife explained everything expertly to Bussel. He chuckled to himself and was happy she was getting into Bussel's training. When she asked his thoughts, he cleared his throat and said, "I agree and I'm sure nothing will happen on Earth while we are in here for two years. Not sure if I told you Bussel, but two years in here is one day out in the real world. So what do you say kiddo? Want to train with us for two years and become stronger?" Ruba waited with eager anticipation for Bussel's response.

Bussel listened to both his mother and father talk and he began to understand everything more. He then heard what his father said and at first he thought of training for two solid years and he got a bit wide eyed but when he heard his father speak of the time difference a grin kept over his face and he looked at both of his parents and said, "Yeah...let's do this!..."

[Rasha]

Rasha gave a grin when she heard Bussel agree to the extended fight period. She then looked at Ruba and she asked, "So how do you want to do this next round?..."

[Ruba]

Ruba listened as his wife and child spoke about his plan and smiled. Ruba stretched as he said, "Let's go ahead and focus on increasing his time limit on Super saiyan first and then we'll continue from there." Ruba walked to the center of the chamber and waited for his family to join.

[Rasha]

Rasha listened to Ruba and she gave a nod then the two of them moved into new positions as they waited for Bussel's response. She then said to Ruba, "I can continue to fight along side Bussel...or we can see how he can handle going against the two of us..."

[Bussel]

Bussel looked at his father and his mother and the thought of going one against two at first took him off guard but then he decided to see if he could use their ages against them. He didn't really have full knowledge of how hard it was gonna be but he was excited and he dropped into a fight pose and he looked at both of them and said, "I can go one on two...how hard can it be..." He said an smirked then went at the both of them with speed behind his moves.

[Ruba]

Ruba watched as his wife took a combative stance not to far away from and his son agreed with the challenge of two versus one. He chuckled when his son asked how hard could it be and dropped into a defensive stance as Bussel began to rush them. He smirked as he said, "Oh you have no idea what you just got yourself into, son. I hope your ready for some pain and a life lesson you shopuld have learned with Grandma Teelo."

About twelve hours have passed since Ruba, Rasha, and Bussel enter the chamber. Within the chamber, an entire year had passed and Bussel had succesfully mastered his Super Saiyan form. As Ruba and his family sat in a peaceful garden of Azure Lillies, Ruba looked to Rasha and said, "My love... I think it's time we tell Bussel about our other halves."

[Rasha]

After a solid twelve hours passed and the three of them took a break Rasha heard what Ruba said and she gave a nod and said, "Yes...I do believe it is time to tell him..." She said as she sat next to him and stretched out on the grass. She then said to Ruba, "How about you begin..."

[Bussel]

Bussel was standing near his father after they stopped for a break. He then sat down by the both of them and crossed his legs as the both of started talking about something they wanted to tell him.

Ruba took a deep breath as he looked up at the artificial sky within the chamber. He exhaled slowly as he said, "Over a millenium ago, a strong saiyan from our original home of Planet Sadala was appointed to be the Left hand of the Omni-king. The name of this saiyan was Yamoshi and he care for his people greatly. Yamoshi had an older brother by the name of Akumo and at the time he was the God of Destruction of Universe 13. When Akumo found out about the decision the Omni-king made, he became jealous and plotted a coup to kill the Omni-king. He corrupted saiyans from the remaining universes to make apart of his personal army, but the saiyan that stood at the for front of his assualt was his son, Cumber. Cumber was an excpetional warrior, but the dark ki that Akumo forced into his son made him a monster. Cumber..." Ruba stopped as he tried to breathe, but the memories of Yamoshi flooded his mind.

[Bussel]

Bussel was sitting and listening with rapt attention as his father began speaking of the past and of names he never heard before. The details to the history was so vivid he was beginning to think he lived this history. He then glanced over at his mother and saw her with her head bowed and in deep thought. He then looked back at his father and he said, "These names you speak of...they sound like you knew them personally...what are you trying to say to me?..."

[Rasha]

Rasha was listening as Ruba spoke of the past they once lived and she heard the confusion in Bussels voice and she looked up and said to Bussel, "You are correct...more than you know Bussel..." She said then paused then said, "These names and events your father speaks of is part of our past...a very personal past that we are linked too..." She said then paused a moment then said, "You see...your father and I are linked to that past through reincarnation....your father is the reincarnation of Yamoshi and for me I am the reincarnation of Yamoshi's wife Roma...we were tied to some very brutal events that shaped the present day Saiyans and not all for the good...what we need for you to know is the beings who still affect our lives to this day and the troubles that could come looking for us to exact revenge..."

[Ruba]

Ruba shook Yamoshi's memories from his mind and said, "Cumber arrived on our original home and killed Yamoshi's first born son, Leatz. After his death, the saiyan civil war began and Akumo's army was winning. Yamoshi face Akumo and confronted him on his actions. Akumo agreed that he made a mistake and that he would stop his son. Cumber didn't like that and brutally murdered him. Akumo left everything to Yamoshi and the battle began. Yamoshi was unable to defeat Cumber before his best friend Banero interjected and rescued him. Yamoshi, Roma and the unborn child, as well as Banero and a few others gave their lives to make Yamoshi strong enough in a ritual long forgotten to time. Yamoshi attempted to save every saiyan, but exhausted most of his power, which allowed Cumber to skewer him with a punch. Before Yamoshi died, he scarred Cumber's face and burned the fear of his golden eyes into his mind. Now after a thousand years, Yamoshi was reincarnated into me as well as the rest of the original six were brought into our time... but so was Akumo and Cumber. Cumber somehow survived after the erasure of his original timeline. Akumo was reincarnated into Devlin, which I find ironic. So now you know our entire story..."

[Bussel]

Bussel sat and listened to both of his parents speak to him about their past lives and it was both fascinating and rather scary. He then said, "So this Cumber is still alive??...how is that possible? and how come we haven't seen him?..." he also looked at both of them and he said as he rubbed his head, "This is still a bit much for me to take in..."

[Ruba]

Ruba could see the confusion on his son's face and smiled. He looked at Bussel and said, "Where do you think your Uncle Sebas got that strange ki. Little over thirty years ago, a few days before Planet Vegeta's destruction, Sebas was wisped away to some unknown planet by some unknown entity that forced his to deal with Cumber and to take on his ki. I can only assume this entity was the one responsible for saving Cumber over a thousand years ago. It's because of Sebas and a fateful run in with the monster that we know he's alive. I met him on an unknown moon back when Vegeta arrived on Earth and he almost killed me. Thankfully, it seemed a strange space shark took an interest in Cumber and i was able to get away. I know he's still alive and some day I'll have to fight him and kill him. That way my past self and everyone who was ever hurt by that monster can rest easy. Well I think that was long enbough of a break. Ready to master Super Saiyan two, Bussel?" Ruba stood up and offered a hand to Rasha and Bussel.

[Bussel]

Bussel was sitting listening to this tale with fascination and silence as he listened to his father talk. He then snapped back to attention and he said, "Oh yeah...sorry was caught up in your story..." He said then stood up and said, "Yeah I'm ready to learn control over my super saiyan 2!..." He said and gave a smirk and cracked his knuckles.
