Hardship and Pride: A Father and Son Speak With Their Hearts

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin helped Rasha carry Ruba to the tank and assisted her in putting him in it, Devlin gazed into the tank as she set it up and then the two of them watched as it booted up for a moment. Devlin heard Rasha speak of him not letting Mushun under his skin and then she spoke of how grateful she was of him being around along with how needed he was here and Devlin wavered slightly as he tried to maintain his composure.
“I’m sorry… for leaving… thank you…sister…”
Devlin said with a shaky voice as he looked to his side to face her his eyes glistening from tears.
“From this point forth Azurath will be my main point of location, as for Fuckboy whenever he decides to rear his face up around here I’ll be waiting. I’m sorry for keeping my history with him to myself… Ruba was the only one who knew about it after the planets destruction if I had known about what his father did to him I could have helped him…”

[Polar]

Polar was speeding across the universe as fast as he could in bursts of Extreme Speed. He was maybe fifteen minutes away from planet Cereal and knew that he still had to find Monaito and ask permission to use his dragon balls. He reached out to Rasha and said, "I will be arriving on the planet soon... have you subdued Ruba and got him into a healing tank?" He kept going faster and faster as he kept rocketing toward his destination.

[Rasha]

Rasha could see how her words affected Devlin and she gave a soft smile and she put her hand on his shoulder and she said, "I know our lives and the world we live in can feel both over whelming and underappreciative at times but right now I need you more than ever...I don't know what is going on with Ruba but I believe in your smarts and your science skills and no one else here has your level of skills...so believe when I saw I really value having you in my life..." She said and paused then said, "I am also glad to finally have a big brother I can look up to."

Rasha then heard Polar reach out to her mentally and she paused and closed her eyes and responded back, "Yes he is stabilized and in our best healing tank...he should be fine until you complete your task...I am not leaving his side..."

Devlin listened as his sister spoke and he nodded slowly as he regained his composure, it was evident that his presence was needed her on Azurath now. Devlin turned to the pod and waved his hand in front of it as a holo screen of all of Rubas scans and analysis popped up, he brought a bent finger over his face and quickly began to read everything in front of him.

[Reyzen Chikimaru]

Reyzen watched as everyone talked and then watched as his father went back to his screens and lost himself in it, he felt a welling anger as he mentally shut the computer off and cleared his throat.
“I don’t know what just happened exactly, and I’m sorry for hurting uncle Ruba but I am going to do everything in my power in finding that bastard. Starting with beginning my trials, so Father I will meet you in the Pit when you’re ready. You can fill me in there while I beat the hell out of you.”
Reyzen said coldly and teleported to the Pit

[Kara Chikimaru]

Kara turned and looked at Reyzen as he spoke of beating the crap out of his father and she was about to say something but he vanished. She then looked at Devlin and then at Rasha and Bussel.

[Bussel]

Bussel was standing in front of the tank that held his father and he looked at him silently. He was taking in all the damage he suffered and he glanced over at his mother and said, "How could someone do that to their own kid??..." He then looked back at his father and as he did he could feel his rage build over knowing his grandfather did this terrible thing to his father.

Bussel then heard what Reyzen said and he looked over at him and before he could say anything he watched him vanish. He then looked over at his uncle and he asked, "Trials...what is he talking about??..."

[Rasha]

Rasha looked over at Bussel and she walked up next to him and she said, "I do not know...but I can say that Mushun was bad...he done a lot of evil things..." She then heard what Reyzen said and watched as he vanished and she looked over at Devlin and she said, "You better knock some sense into that boy before he gets himself killed...if that monster is really still alive there is no telling how strong he is now..."

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin listened as Reyzen spoke words of anger to him and then teleported to the Pit, he looked over to Kara and saw the look on her face then heard Bussel question what the trials were and Rasha speak of disciplining Reyzen before he did something that would kill him and Devlin turned to face his sister and nephew.
“The trials are the pinnacle the Chikimaru devote their life to, your cousin seems eager to start his first which is fighting his superior in our clan which is me. As for discipline dear sister, I will make sure to do so but I do believe you need not worry about Mushun killing him because he’d better have a damn good reason for almost killing Ruba or I will myself.”
Devlin said with a soft yet eerie voice and then teleported himself to the Pit.

[Polar]

Polar had entered Cereal's atmosphere when he felt a disturbance on Azurath. He focused on what seems to be a fight between Devlin and Reyzen. He realized quickly it wasn't a fight a groaned in frustration. He focused in on Rasha and said telepathically, "Get to Devlin's pit... he's about to kill Reyzen for some reason. I have to find my contact and then I'll make the wish. Leave Bussel with Ruba and get there... NOW!!!"

Polar shot off like a bullet in search of Monaito.

[Rasha]

Rasha looked over at Devlin as he spoke of disciplining Reyzen. She knew he was often tough on the kid but she felt an extra level of hostility in his words. She watched as he left and turned briefly to look at Ruba as he floated in the healing tank. As she was looking at him she felt a sudden increase of power coming from a distance. She then heard Polar speak to her in her head and she tensed then instant transmitted as she followed the ki signatures given off by Devlin and Reyzen. When she came out she saw Devlin nearly killing Reyzen.

[Polar]

Polar had finally found Monaito and was capable of convincing the old namekian to let him use the dragon balls. With his wish made to remove the cybernetic implants place in Ruba complete, the Cerealian dragon surprised him by sending him back to Azurath.
