Bardocks Reunion: Devlin’s Underground lab

[Ruba]

Yamoshi listened as his elder brother spoke through Devlin and informed him that he still held his grudge. Yamoshi sighed and looked back at where the demon left through his portal. He didn't turn back to his elder brother for awhile. His mind tried to figure out a way to settle things between him and his elder brother, but only one idea came to mind. He looked back at Akumo and said, "Fine... when that day comes I'll let you strike me down so you can satisfy your revenge, but it won't make you feel better, brother. It will only make you feel more hollow inside." Yamoshi stared into his brother's eyes and only saw anger and hatred toward him. Yamoshi looked away and went to sit on a bench waiting for his brother to either give control back to Devlin or berate him like he use to.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Akumo chuckled as his brother spoke thinking he meant that he wanted to kill him and watched as he walked away.
“You misunderstand when our time comes it will not be to the death it’ll be to see why Zeno chose you and not me. It will be my assessment of the warrior you truly are, after all we are brothers. Now I should give Devlin control until the next time Yamoshi.”
Akumo said and returned control to Devlin.

[Ruba]

When Yamoshi heard his brother correct him and inform him that it would be a battle of warriors and not a death battle, he was stunned. He truly believed his brother still held hatred toward him, but it was hatred toward the Omni-king. He gave a soft smile as Akumo relinquished control back to Devlin and said quietly, "Until then brother..." Yamoshi gave control back to Ruba and as Ruba regained control, he looked at Devlin and said, "Well that was interesting, don't you agree?"

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin listened as Ruba chimed in and he chuckled softly to himself and shook his head, Devlin crossed his arms and turned to face Ruba his piercing blue eyes sparkling.
“Interesting is a way to put it, clearly my defenses are not good enough and I need to do better work on it. Sorry for missing a flaw for my work… I wonder what the two of them are up to.”

[Ruba]

Ruba stretched out on the bench and let out a yawn. His golden eyes rested back on Devlin as he said, "I never expect perfection from you, Devlin. All I ever want is your best and you gave me that. Now we just have to focus on making improvements to keep our home safe. Whatever Yamoshi and Akumo are planning... I just hope it doesn't cost us too much. As for you and I... How about a quick match in the upper atmosphere of Azurath or maybe the Barrens of Rothg?" Ruba gave a snide smirk to Devlin hoping it was enough to grab his brother and best friend's attention.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin listened as Ruba spoke kind words to him and he felt a smile form on his face and when Ruba asked if he wanted to spar he looked back to him with a burning determination in his eyes.
“Fighting in the upper atmosphere could cause a chain reaction of explosions so Rothg would be our best bet but yes I’m down to spar.”
Devlin said and crossed his arms as he waited for his response

Ruba could see the spark of determination in Devlin's eyes and a smile broke across his face. He stood from the bench he was on and said, "Then lets get going. Today may be the day you and I ascend." Ruba focused his ki as he lifted into the air and flew off toward the red moon of Azurath known as the Barrens of Rothg.
