Duel of Fates: Raditz vs Goku & Piccolo

[Vegeta]

Vegeta was waiting and heard Raditz voice coming from the other line. "Finally that fool has his scouter back on. Now I can get more information on the dragon balls." He said as he listened in on raditz conversation. Vegeta wondered who he was talking to, then he heard a name. Rasha... where did he hear this name? Then he remembered the day Raditz lost the exhibition match against his cousin. He meet met her in the Royal infirmary. This puzzled Vegeta, as he thought only Nappa, Raditz, Kakarot and himself were the only ones to survive the explosion.

"Well this is rather unexpected, Nappa. It seems Raditz sister, Rasha, survive the destruction of Planet Vegeta as well. Another saiyan to add into the ranks." Vegeta said to Nappa as he pressed the button to respond to Raditz. As the line connected he heard a sharp buzz and then silence. This infuriated Vegeta to no end. If Raditz device shorted out or broke it means he either died or betrayed him.

"Damn you Raditz what game are you playing?! I hope you died if not you will once I get my hands on your traitorous hide. Nappa get in the pod we head for Earth now!!!" Vegeta exclaimed as he entered his pod with such anger. He plotted a course for Earth. The computer told him one year until arrival. He turned on the ships communicator and said to Nappa, "We have a year Nappa, and once we arrive we will kill the traitor and hunt down the dragon balls. My wish for immortality will not be stolen by lower class scum!!"

Vegeta's pod rocketed off the planet he had just finished conquering at incredible speed. As he climbed higher the pod initiated it suspend sleep program and whisked Vegeta to sleep. The last thing that went through his mind was his fury and desire for immortality.

[Earth Guardian Kami]

"Damn you Raditz what game are you playing?! I hope you died if not you will once I get my hands on your traitorous hide. Nappa get in the pod we head for Earth now!!!" Vegeta exclaimed as he entered his pod with such anger. He plotted a course for Earth. The computer told him one year until arrival. He turned on the ships communicator and said to Nappa, "We have a year Nappa, and once we arrive we will kill the traitor and hunt down the dragon balls. My wish for immortality will not be stolen by lower class scum!!"

Meanwhile on a floating building high above the clouds. An older namekian was watching the fight between the invader, Goku and Piccolo unfold. He saw as the young woman intervined and gave Goku and Piccolo a chance to breathe. He watch as the young woman's power increased and so did the invaders as they talked. He feared nothing could stop these two.

"Mr. Popo it seems the fight might be starting up again soon... I just hope Goku and Piccolo can survive long enough for help to arrive." He said to his attendant. Mr. Popo was a man who wore a white turban, a red vest, white baggy pants and red pointed shoes. He also had skin as black as the darkest night. Mr. Popo responded, "I would say you would be right Kami, but I don't think this is our only problem." Kami turned and looked to Mr. Popo and saw him pointing to the sky.

Kami focus his mind and looked in the direction Mr. Popo was pointing. As he focused he noticed that two tremendous powers were heading towards Earth. As he focus his vision on the powers he saw two more saiyans, one who was bald and the other with spike hair, rapidly approaching. He could tell from this distance that they would arrive in a year. This was foreboding to be sure and he knew he had to warn Goku and Piccolo.

"This is very troubling I must inform Piccolo immediately." Kami said with worry in his voice. He turned back towards the battle and focused on Piccolo. He knew his link with him would make it easier to get in contact with him. As he connected to Piccolo, he spoke to him telepathically, "Piccolo, I'm afraid I have bad news. Two more saiyans of even higher power level are on the way to Earth as we speak. You must tell Goku and the others there is no time to waste. We need to start preparing. Have Goku and the other two meet me at the Lookout, I know someone who can train them for the impending battle, you on the other hand should train Goku's son and prepare him for the fight. We will need all the help we can get. Hurry go tell them." Kami waited to hear his counterparts response.

[Rasha]

Raditz turned back around as it had taken even less time for Rasha to catch up and even overtake him than he thought. So she was fast, that much he was sure of. He managed to spot both Kakarot and Piccolo about the same time she did. He however didn't spot his scouter until after it appeared in her hands and then his own.
"Unlike you Rasha, I'm not here to play favorites." He responded simply to her berating him on his demeanor and more brash approach. "Father didn't task me with any such babysitting job. I'm not here to win anything. I don't care if Kakarot likes me, and frankly I could care less about if you do either."

Raditz secured his scouter back to his face and activated it to make sure it wasn't broken. It seemed to be working as intended when it detected a huge spike it Rasha's power. Her level was going up so quickly that it overloaded and exploded in his face. This caused Raditz to jolt back in shock as his eyes dilated.

Raditz turned away from his sister for just a moment before locking eyes with hers with his own death stare. She might have thought she looked tough, but Raditz wasn't buying it. Not for a second. "Listen here you little brat! You might be ten minutes older than me, something you've never let me forget even when we were kids; but we are not kids anymore. Mother and father are no longer here to come to your rescue when you throw one of your little tantrums when you didn't get your way. This is the real world out here Rasha. While you were being coddled back at home I was out there on the front lines doing my duty as a Saiyan and a Warrior. Fighting for my life, and of my comrades."

Rasha did not flinch in the bit when she saw she incited his anger. She just looked at him and held her ground and when she heard him talk she said, "I know very much about the real world, and I know our parents are no longer here, but I never needed them to rescue me...and stop calling me a brat...I have not been that same little girl in a long time..." Rasha said then paused a moment then said

Raditz's ki was slowly beginning to swell with his anger the more he fumed at his sister. While he couldn't tell himself his saiyan DNA was altering as his idle power was growing with every angry work that erupted from his mouth. "You might be able to raise your power level but it doesn't matter if you don't... Know... How... To... Use... It..." Raditz raised his hand to Rasha's face and flicked her forehead with his finger. "Now thanks to you and your tantrum I have no way to contact Prince Vegeta. That may not mean anything to you miss special training, but I bet it will to Kakarot down there and his little green friend. Not to mention our nephew!"


Raditz turned away from Rasha for a moment as he looked down at Kakarot and Piccolo. He could see the look of shock on their younger brother's face. "Kakarot has no idea the danger you put him or this planet in. As I already told you, Prince Vegeta is likely already on his way with Nappa in tow. Without my scouter I have no way to call them off. That's your fault!"

Raditz turned back towards Rasha and his pupils were gone. His eyes were completely white with rage and hatred. "It's not just them on the chopping block either. You will be in their sights. As for me... When they get here I will be branded a traitor and a deserter. There is no way I can beat them myself, Kakarot will have no chance if he can't even beat me. They will destroy this world and all life on it within weeks if not less. So go ahead if you got the guts. Just try it."

Rasha was about to say something else when she noticed his anger flair up and he assumed she didn't know how to use her Ki, though before she could say anything or do anything she got flicked in the forehead. The flick hurt but she only looked at him then allowed him to finish his rant then she said, "If you had paid attention to anything here I stopped you because I cared...and you call me a brat, but if I wasn't cared for by mother and father the way I was then I highly doubt either of you would be alive right now!! and you are relying on stupid old technology, those stupid devices that have been used forever barely function properly...there is other ways to detect power levels..."

She then heard his worry about the prince coming and being branded a traitor. She could tell he was really scared and he was just covering it with the rage and as she looked at him she calmed her power level down a bit and said, "This is exactly where you failed to see that when you live with compassion and respect for life the ability to fight to protect those you care about can make you stronger because you have hope...it is obvious your time with those two have made you feel none of that and you want to blame me because of how alone you really feel right now..." she said then paused a moment and then said, "I am not your enemy brother and if you really have fears then I will help you, but I will not join you to cause senseless death and destruction...I will fight with honor and respect...and my plan is to one day see Frieza destroyed for what he did to our people..."

Rasha then dropped her power level back down to normal and remained hovering in front of him and folded her arms as she waited to see if he would listen. As she waited she detected a psychic connection coming from somewhere far off and she looked around while not hearing exactly what was being said she did notice that it seemed to be directed at the Namekian. She glanced at him a moment then at Kakarot. Then she looked back at Raditz and said, "Something is happening down there..."

[Goku]

Goku watched both Raditz and the female as they interacted overhead. It was looking like a fight was going to start but as he watched he could see she was trying to prevent it from happening. This was very odd and had him fascinated as to why she would do what she was doing. He then felt her power level drop and he grew a bit alarmed. He also couldn't hear what they were saying and he said, "What are they doing??...What is she saying to him??..."

[Piccolo]

Piccolo watched as the conversation between the two seemed to heat up. He saw as the woman tried to calm down the situation, by talk to Raditz, but wasn't sure if it would work. He looked to Goku and then to his son. At this point the dragon ball was seeming further and further out of his reach. He scoffed as a voice crept into his head.

The voice belong to Kami, his other half. Just hearing the voice infuriated him, what does his other half want from him now. Piccolo used his mind an responded, "What do you want old man? I'm kind of in the middle of a battle for the Earth." He listened to Kami as he explained the situation. The shock set in as Kami told him that two more saiyans, even stronger then Raditz, rapidly approaching Earth and will arrive in about a years time. As he listened to the plan Kami came up with he realized this situation was real, otherwise Kami would not be contacting him about it. Piccolo responded, "Alright old man I'll try and get them to calm down and I'll send them your way."

Piccolo opened his eyes and looked at Goku. "We've got a situation Goku, grab your kid and follow me." Piccolo then took off and flew up to Raditz and the woman, who were just floating in the air. He flew up, and hovered just a few feet away from the two. He knew this would be a difficult conversation, but he has to try.

[Gohan]

While Gohan was trapped in the pod he was crying and unable to escape. He was scared out of his mind and didn't know what to do. He sat there just hoping his dad would come get him and as time passed and it didn't happen he started crying more.

He could hear stuff going on outside but then this got quiet and this caused him to stop crying and look out the rose tinted window. He couldn't see over the craters edge but then suddenly the door latch opened and he was able to crawl out.

He then climbed to the top and as he did he saw a female talking to the one who scared him and took him away. He then saw his Dad and he ran over to him and clung to his leg holding tight as he watched everything around him.

[Raditz]

Raditz stared at Rasha with his empty eyes as his chest heaved with every powerful breath as his lungs expanded and contracted in his chest. His anger and fury was halted but not yet quelled. It was if the primal beast within was fighting against the higher mentality for control over his body. The deep part that was locked in a corner with no way out but to fight.

Rasha was not entirely wrong about Raditz, he did have a hint of fear on his rage, like a cornered animal with no way out. No other recourse but to fight even if it meant death. Rasha still didn't seem to understand the monster she unleashed with her interference. The kind of ruthless killer that was at this very moment on his way to this planet with no equal. The elite, the Prince of all Saiyans. Raditz seen this ruthless killer in action. Many times over the years. Nappa was quite possibly equally so. Raditz had the experience Rasha lacked in this department and her inexperience was showing through.

Raditz's eyes suddenly returned to normal as did his ki level. Whether it was Rasha's abilities or simply their familiar bond was unclear, however as she slowly powered down so too did Raditz. He seemed to be coming to his senses, what those were worth. His breathing began to return to normal as well.

Raditz looked down at the ground as Kakarot and Piccolo started coming their way, "Well, miss know-it-all, since you don't want to listen to me. You are going to have to be the one to explain it to our brother. How you possibly doomed this planet and all of its inhabitants." Raditz pointed past Rasha to the coming group. "Here he comes now."

[Goku]

Goku watched intently at what was happening and as it seemed like it was gonna be another fight he could see that the female was calming Raditz down. He then heard what piccolo said and he looked at him. He then felt Gohan grab his leg and he looked down and picked him up. He then said to Gohan to calm his crying, "It will be OK Gohan...I got ya..." He then took flight and followed Piccolo as they both went up to where Raditz and his twin sister Rasha faced off.

[Piccolo]

Piccolo continued to float up to them. He thought to himself that this may get him killed if he's not careful. He knew Raditz had a short fuse of a temper, but the woman he was uncertain. As he approached he looked towards the two with Goku and his son followed close behind.

"Alright, I'm not sure if you two are going to battle,, but we have an issue to discuss." Piccolo pause as Goku flew up next to him. He saw Raditz face him with his hand crossed and irritated and saw the woman turn towards him intent to listen to him. he sighed and began again, "I have been informed by my other half that two more saiyans, more likely your colleagues Raditz, are on there way to Earth as we speak. We have about a year until they arrive." He paused noticing Raditz tense up as if he already knew that was the outcome. He turned back to the other two and looked at them with concern, but he continued.

"He informed me that you three, Goku, Raditz and you... I don't know you, that you will meet him at the lookout and he will take you to a place that will allow you to train with someone who will significantly raise your power for the battle." He paused and looked to Goku knowing he won't agree with this next part. "He wants me to stay here on Earth to warn the others and train your son Goku. He thinks if I train him he'll become a strong warrior. I don't like it, but Kami has never been wrong."

He paused again and watched everyone's reaction. Raditz seemed to be more irritated then anything. The woman seemed to be calm and unmoving. Goku was clenching his son, Gohan, closely towards him, but not hostile at all. Gohan began to cry again. "Look I know none of you have the right to trust me, but I'm telling you what Kami said to me. We have no other options at this point and you three are our only hope, so take the training and leave Gohan to me." Having finished what he had to say, he looked to the others and waited for their response.

[Rasha]

She said then looked back at Raditz a moment then said to the namekian and her younger brother, "I will help in anyway I can..."

She then looked at Raditz and said, "I will not abandon you again Raditz...I will fight along side you if the prince intends to bring evil intentions to you or Kakarot."

She then looked at the Namekian and said, "What is your name?..."

[Piccolo]

Rasha listened to Raditz as she watched him revert to normal levels. She then realized what her fauly was and she groaned. She was about to say something when the Namekian flew up to them with Kakarot following not far behind.

She then heard what the Namekian said and she said, "This is my fault...I wanted to defuse this situation before i lost anymore family members...my name is Rasha and Raditz is my twin brother and he is our youngest brother Kakarot..." She said as she pointed to Goku.

"The two Saiyans that are coming is Prince Vegeta and his companion Nappa...both are hardened warriors...the last time I saw them was when I was very young and they scared me back then..." She said then looked back at Raditz a moment then said to the namekian and her younger brother, "I will help in anyway I can..."

She then looked at Raditz and said, "I will not abandon you again Raditz...I will fight along side you if the prince intends to bring evil intentions to you or Kakarot."

She then looked at the Namekian and said, "What is your name?..."

"So Goku has an older brother and sister. This is truly interesting. To answer your question my name is Piccolo, I'm what you call Goku's rival." He looked at Goku and his son. "Well what do you say Goku? I think Kami is right on this and if what Rasha and Raditz are saying is true then we need you three at the top of your game and stronger than ever? I'll take care of Gohan and do my best to make him a strong warrior."

[Goku]

Goku watched the girl with interest. He didn't feel hostility from her and when she told him who she was and even though he didn't remember her he felt ok with her explanation, but he was still unsure of Raditz since he was still pretty angry at him taking Gohan.

He then heard what Piccolo said and he looked at him and then at Gohan and thought on the details of everything. He then looked at Raditz and said, "Are you willing to help us...because honestly I have no reason to trust you but given the current situation and what you said about two others coming we need help..."

He then looked at Piccolo and said, "If you take Gohan and train him you better do it right...I have no reason to trust you but I also don't really have a reason to not trust you and Gohan needs someone to help him that is firmer than me..."

"Also if we are needed at the lookout then I do think we should go soon but first I need to be sure Raditz isn't going to be a problem..." He said then looked back at Raditz and waited to see what he plans

[Raditz]

Raditz was just floating there with his tail weaving in the wind and his arms crossed as he listened to the others debate. "Well why don't you tell the little green man our whole family history while you are at it Rasha." Raditz scoffed at the notion that anyone on this planet could help them become as strong as Vegeta and Nappa. Just the same, the notion intrigued him. If there was such a teacher why hadn't Kakarot gone to him before now. It smelled suspicious.

Then there was the green man's arm. Raditz could have sworn he removed it during their fight. "Well, Piccolo. I see you managed to find your arm. Who is this other half? How come Kakarot hasn't gone to him before now?" It was clear Raditz was suspicious, even as Kakarot was almost agreeing with his thoughts about Piccolo taking Gohan. Gohan was a Saiyan and should be trained by Saiyans, not some toad from a backwater Planet.

Raditz locked eyes with Kakarot, "As well you shouldn't Kakarot. Trust is a commodity our kind cannot afford. Not when there are so few of us left. I've stolen your son, and threatened your life and those of this planet. However no harm has fallen to my nephew today has it? You may be beaten and bruised but you are still alive. I turn my back on you and you grab my tail." Raditz's tail twitched nervously before wrapping around his waist. "You were ready to let me be killed in my weakened state. Had our sister not come when she had, a whole different scenario of events could have happened. Maybe there is some ruthless saiyan instincts locked away inside you after all." Raditz started laughing hysterically.

[Rasha]

Rasha looked at Raditz and gave a bit of a grunt and said, "Yeah like telling him we are brother and sister or that the two that are coming are Vegeta and Nappa...is telling our life history..." She said as she shook her head. Then she focused on the others and watched them intently.

[Goku]

Goku said then paused a moment as he looked at Raditz. He then said, "I have no problem trusting people I call friend...and its not the point that no harm came to him, its the fact you done it to your own family which is wrong..." He then looked at him as he wrapped his tail around his waist. He then said with a bit of a cringe, "Yeah...well, I couldn't think of much else to do at the time...I only remember how it hurt me when my tail was grabbed...back when I still had it." He said then just looked at Raditz as he laughed.

Goku then looked at Piccolo and he was suspicious of this strange turn in attitude. They had been rivals for a long time and now suddenly he wanted to help. He then said to Piccolo, "If I let you take Gohan and train him you need to help him become stronger than any of us...I don't know who these two Saiyans are that are heading here but if they are as bad as they say they are then we need all the help we can get..." He then paused and looked at Gohan in his arms and he saw him look up at him and he said, "Gohan...I have to go do something very important and it may take me a bit to complete this. I need you to be brave and go with Mr. Piccalo, he is gonna help you get strong just like me..." He said then looked at his son's hat with the four star ball on it and he said, "Let me see your hat...I need to hold onto Grampa's four star ball." He said then took the hat off his sons head and removed the dragonball. He then put the hat back on his sons head.

He then looked at Piccolo, "Lets head up to the lookout and talk to Kami...did you want to come with us or are you just gonna stay down here?" He asked Piccolo

[Piccolo]

"To answer your question Raditz, about 500 years or so ago my other half split himself from my father, Demon King Piccolo. For him to attain the title of Kami he had to remove all evil from within himself, and in doing so split his body in two." Piccolo informed Raditz and then he looked to Goku. He laughed that Goku thought he changed, because in truth he didn't. After he trained his son and defeated the saiyans he planned on gathering the dragonballs and making his wish to rule the world.

He turned to Goku and said, "Don't worry ill train him to be a strong warrior even if it kills him. I don't know what it is, but he has something hidden deep inside him and I'm intrigued to awaken it." He paused and looked to the Runt gripping tightly on to his father's leg. He knew this kid had something to him and he wants that power to be on his side. " Look if you do go to Kami's let me explain a few things. Goku has already trained with Kami, but Kami is old and no where near as strong as he was. He told me that the person he intends for you to train with is on a different plane of existence and only he can get you there. So do me a favor and get out of here. Goku hand over the kid, so I can begin his training and inform the others." He said to all of them and then pointed to Gohan.

He said then put Gohan down and he knelt down and said to Gohan, "I'm going to have to leave you for a bit. I have somewhere special to go...while I am gone i'm gonna leave you with Mr Piccolo...he wants to train you so you can eventually be as strong as me." he said as he gave Gohan a smile.

[Gohan]

Goku looked at Piccolo and he was quiet for a moment as he listened to him. He then looked at Gohan a moment then said to Piccolo, "Yeah...I guess..." He said then put Gohan down and he knelt down and said to Gohan, "I'm going to have to leave you for a bit. I have somewhere special to go...while I am gone i'm gonna leave you with Mr Piccolo...he wants to train you so you can eventually be as strong as me." he said as he gave Gohan a smile.

Gohan looked at his father and dried his tears. He then looked over at Piccolo and felt only a twinge of fear but then he looked at his dad and he said, "Ok Daddy.."

[Goku]

Gohan looked at his father and dried his tears. He then looked over at Piccolo and felt only a twinge of fear but then he looked at his dad and he said, "Ok Daddy.."

Goku gave a smile took off his hat and ruffled his son's hair. He then replaced his hat and then he stood up and brought Gohan over to Piccolo. He looked at Piccolo as he handed over his son and their eyes locked for a moment. He then turned and went back over to where Raditz and Rasha were and he went over to Rasha and he was looking over her and he said, "That was an impressive display you gave earlier..." He said then glanced at the weird symbol on her Gi top.

He then looked at Raditz and he said to her, "Are you sure he will not cause trouble?"

Rasha looked at Kakarot and she said, "There is no guarantees in any of this, I am sure you know this too yourself Kakarot...we can only hope for the best." she said then paused a moment then said, "There is so much I want to talk to you about, i'm just sorry I wasn't here while you were growing up." she said and gave him a smile then looked at Raditz and waited to see what Raditz would say to everything.

Raditz stopped laughing as Kakarot tried to explain his actions. "If you think my actions were harsh then you really have become soft on this planet. What I did was tame by Saiyan standards. Had you grown up on Planet Vegeta and been trained by our father you'd see what I did was soft by comparison. You need to remember that if you hope to beat the two that are on their way."

I don't know what kind of training will be in store but you two are going to need someone ruthless on your side if you hope to win."

Goku looked at Raditz and said, "You came here to this world with a violance the people of this planet don't experience every day...plus I have been here on this planet alone with no one else like me so what can you expect...plus when I was very young I fell and hit my head pretty bad so everything is often a blur, but I have adapted to this planets lifestyle." He said as he looked at him, he then added, "...I can be pretty determined when a challenge is set before me...you will find that out about me."

He then looked at Piccolo a moment then turned to both Raditz and Rasha and said, "Follow me..." He said then took off as he headed to kami's lookout.

[Piccolo]

Piccolo watched as the three saiyans flew off towards Kami. "Get stronger Goku. I have a feeling you'll be the deciding factor of this battle, not your siblings. Alright runt," he said as he turned toward Gohan, "Let's hurry and go tell everyone what we can expect in a year. Then we will start your training." Piccolo grabbed Gohan and flew in the air toward Kame House to inform Krillin and Master Roshi.

[Rasha]

Rasha listened to what kakarot said to Raditz. She didn't say anything. She was then watching Piccolo as he took Gohan . She wanted to scrutinize the decision but decided to let it be.

When she saw Kakarot leave she took off to follow him.
