Final days of Planet Vegeta

[Rasha]

A young Rasha was standing in front of Kakarot's incubation pod and she was looking at him wondering when he would be strong enough to come out. She looked at her mom and said, "Do you think he will be strong enough soon to come out of that?"

Gine looked at Rasha and said, "I am not sure...hopefully soon."

[Bardock]

Elsewhere in the small Saiyan home the Patriarch of the family was getting ready as he stretched his battle armor down over his chest and then slipped both of his wristbands on with a clench of his fist. Bardock looked at his reflection in the mirror as he fastened his scouter to his face and turned it on.

"Now what are those two up to?" Bardock remarked to himself as the scouter came to life revealing three life forms in close proximity. He knew the first two as his wife Gine and his eldest daughter Rasha. The third he didn't recognize and assumed that Rasha must have brought home another stray animal to keep as a pet and was trying to convince her mother to let her keep it.

Having just returned from a long mission from Freeza he was going to get quite the surprise when he turned the corner and learned he was a father once more. Bardock stood in the open doorway for a moment before coughing and making his presence known. "Well, I hope you don't plan on coddling this one like you tried to do with Raditz, Gine. It took a lot to get that boy to a level where he could be on Prince Vegeta's squad."

[Rasha]

Gine looked over at Bardock and said, "I know you were gone a while but did you forget already that you were a father once more? Look at him I know there is something special about him."

Rasha glanced up at her mom and dad as they talked then she looked back at Kakarot and as she did she placed her hand on the pod and closed her eyes to see if she could sense anything unusual. She could not feel his Ki like she did others but she did since a kind of warmth, a gentle bond and she smiled and opened her eyes and saw he had a small smile on his face while he slept.

She then looked at her father and said, "Do all Saiyans develop their power levels the same way or can the levels grow with time and training?

[Bardock]

Bardock looked at his wife and smiled. He was a true prideful Saiyan warrior but somehow Gine always managed to get through to his softer side. Bardock shock his head slightly as he responded, "You say that about all of your children Gine. I'm sure one day he could be a great warrior for King Vegeta. One day. A regular chip off the old block." Bardock finished off as he walked over to the pod holding his youngest son.

Bardock patted his daughter on the head as he looked down at her and responded to her enquiry. "I'm not sure the two are different from each other Rasha. You don't think King Vegeta was born that strong do you? He was once a baby like your brother here, grew into a young Saiyan warrior like Raditz and Prince Vegeta. Now he rules over all Saiyan kind."

Bardock kneeled down as he ruffled Rasha's hair so he could look her in the eyes. "Saiyans are ranked by their apparent power level from birth. Those seen as strong are classed as elites like King Vegeta and his son. Then there are high class warriors, mid class like myself, then finally low class who are not cut out for combat and have to find other sources of work."

[Rasha]

Rasha listened to her father, admiring his strength and wisdom and she said, "Will I get to learn how to fight like you one day?"

[Bardock]

Bardock smiled, "I'm sure you can one day. There are after all female warriors. It's actually how your mother and I met." Bardock remarked as he thought back fondly of how savage she once was. Motherhood seemed to have brought out her more softer side.

"Tell you what. If you get all of your chores done maybe I will let you train with me later before my next mission." Bardock stood up, "You'll have to ask your mother though. While Saiyans are required to grow strong and be able to take care of themselves, your brother isn't quite big enough. So he will need his big sister to look after him."

[Rasha]

Bardock smiled, "I'm sure you can one day. There are after all female warriors. It's actually how your mother and I met." Bardock remarked as he thought back fondly of how savage she once was. Motherhood seemed to have brought out her more softer side.

"Tell you what. If you get all of your chores done maybe I will let you train with me later before my next mission." Bardock stood up, "You'll have to ask your mother though. While Saiyans are required to grow strong and be able to take care of themselves, your brother isn't quite big enough. So he will need his big sister to look after him."

Rasha listened to her Father and as he spoke she was quiet. At seven years old her eyes were very open to everything around her. She saw how others acted around their children and she was glad her mother and father were not as uncaring. Though her dad was tough and he didn't like showing his softer side like her mom she knew he cared a bit more than he often let on. She then said to him, "Father?...why is it our people like destroying stuff so much and stealing other worlds? I don't want to hurt innocent lives, but I do want to be strong enough to protect those I care about...is that so wrong? is it wrong to care about life?..."

She then heard the offer to train with him and she smiled then looked back at her baby brother who was still asleep and not quite as big as he should be at his age. She then said, "I will go ask mom once i finish my chores...and don't worry Father...I will watch over Kakarot and protect him no matter what." She then looked at her dad and gave a smile then turned and went off to finnish her chores.

[Bardock]

"It is a bit more complicated than-" Bardock began as he was cut off by the sight of his only daughter disappearing out the door. He stood there almost dumfounded binking several times as Rasha vanished to do her chores. Bardock stood there scratching his head then looked at the incubation pod holding the newest edition to the family. "Your sister is going to be quite the handful when she gets older."

Bardock looked over at Gine before also leaving the room; but not before giving his wife a quick kiss on her cheek. It seemed like his training was going to be interpreted later so he figured better do some warm ups to get started. Walking through the small Saiyan domicile Bardock came to a sealed door.

A small panel slid open next to the door revealing a touch pad. Bardock pressed his palm to the screen as an internal laser began scanning his prints. Satisfied with the identity the panel turned green and the door hissed open as the room's lights flashed on.

Bardock walked inside and surveyed his equipment. There were typical items required for basic training such as gravity weights that could be attached to various objects to make them heavier or lighter. There were sparing mats, and even some extra armor. Bardock couldn't help but grin as he hunched forward.

"Let's get started..."

[Rasha]

Rasha went off to do her chores. Her mind was thinking of everything her dad said. She was also thinking of working out with him. She never told either of her parents of the oddly enhanced telekinetic gifts she had. She mostly kept it to herself but at this time she looked around to see if anyone was looking and she cheated by utilizing her ability to move objects with her mind and was double tasking her chores to get them done faster. As she was working she was whistling to herself.

She then heard her dad walk by and she stopped using her abilities and peaked out the kitchen door and saw him walking towards his work out gym. She then put down her broom, looked at the kitchen and decided it was good enough and slipped out to follow him.

As she did she saw he left the door open and she peeked in as she saw him beginning to work out. She was so enthralled she didn't bother to hide better.

[Bardock]

Bardock had started out his training with some light calisthenics. 1,000 pushups with his right hand followed by another 1,000 with his left. He then placed several of the gravity weights around his wrists and legs before repeating the process. By the time little Rasha poked her head into the room Bardock was training under twenty five times their planet's normal gravity on his limbs and even on his back.

Bardock looked up towards the door as sweat pooled from his face and trickled to the floor. "Have you finished all of your chores already young lady?" Bardock smiled as he suspected Rasha hadn't yet finished her chores or asked her mother. He removed his weights just the same and deactivated them as they fell to the floor.

[Rasha]

Rasha was watching her dad with growing excitement. She then noticed her Dad looking her way and heard what he said and she stepped into the room and said, "Ahh yeah...just finished." She then gave a smile. She then said, "Can I join you in training now?..."

[Bardock]

Bardock sat there looking as his daughter; had she really finished all of her chores so quickly? Astounding what little minds can accomplish when motivated. "All right young lady. A promise is a promise." Bardock responded as he got to his feet and walked over to Rasha and placed the weights he was using onto a rack near the door.

"I have already warmed up with some light calisthenics but you haven't. So why don't you go around the corner there and change into some armor so we can get started." Bardock suspected she didn't want to train in her normal clothes and had a smaller set of Saiyan armor for her when the time was right. Though in reality it would stretch as she got older. He wanted her to have some added protection even during "light" training until she learned to better defend herself.

"Once you get changed we will start with some warm ups. Jumping jacks, some basic push-ups. Get your limbs limbered up."

[Rasha]

Rasha heard what her father said and she went into the other room to change. She found the under suit and the armor he spoke off and put on the undersuit after taking off her boots, and then she slipped the armor on over her head. It stretched to fit perfectly. She then put back on her boots and and then a pair of wrist guards. She then looked in the mirror and smiled.

Rasha then went out to where her dad was and she stopped in front of him. She then began doing some jumping Jack's to limber up. She did about a hundred of those with ease. She then went into doing pushup and also did a hundred of them then when she finished she got back up and said, "Ok...what's next..."

[King Vegeta]

King Vegeta was never seen walking the streets of Planet Vegeta often, but when he did everyone came and greeted him with a smile. He waved at his fellow Saiyans as he proceeded through the streets looking for the small hut that housed one of his older companions. He looked up and saw that the door was open and could hear someone training in the back.

"Hello is anyone home? I'm here looking for Bardock? Let him know King Vegeta wishes for a moment of his time." King Vegeta had noticed the whispers coming from behind him as saiyans were surprised to see the King wanted to speak to a middle class Warrior. King Vegeta sat there waiting for Gine or Bardock to come let him in. He had much respect for him old companion, especially after saving his life when they were in the military together.

[Bardock]

Bardock smiled as well as laughed at his daughter's enthusiasm. "Well it seems you are all warmed up. Good." Bardock was about to start Rasha's drills when he heard someone calling. "Hold on Rasha, it seems we have a visitor." Bardock walked over to a bench and picked up a towel to wipe off his sweat before placing the scouter back onto his face and turning it on.

Bardock walked through his small home to the door only to see King Vegeta waiting outside. He quickly dropped to a knee and took his arm and placed it across his chest in salute. "King Vegeta, it is an honor." Bardock was not expecting a visit from the king of all Saiyan's. He was hoping nothing had happened to Prince Vegeta or Raditz.

[King Vegeta]

"I see so you were home, how nice of you to greet me yourself. Rise old friend we have an important matter to discuss." He lift Bardock back onto his feet and embraced his old friend and walked inside. As he entered he saw Gine cooking some breakfast before she noticed him and kneeled. He waved a hand and proceeded to sit at the table. He looked over to Bardocks training room and saw a small saiyan girl looking at him through the doorway. He looked to Gine and Bardock, "Come sit, we have something of an issue to discuss. And Gine I hope you don't mind me joining you for breakfast I had to leave the palace as soon as I could."

[Rasha]

When Rasha was done warming up she heard what her dad said and was ready to continue. She then heard someone at the door and as she watched her dad leave to greet the voice she went to the door and saw her dad kneeling before King Vegeta. She looked at him quietly and when the king saw her she didn't flinch. She just looked a moment then walked back into the work out room and sat and listened quietly.

Gine looked as King Vegeta entered their home and she instantly bowed to him and said, "Please join us for breakfast my lord. I have plenty here...would you like a drink?..." She said as she fixed plated for them.

[Bardock]

Bardock was still a bit taken back when he was embraced by the king of all saiyans. It had been so long since the two talked and had much of an interaction that wasn't official business. When they were equals on the battlefield. Their individual stations made that hard since King Vegeta took the throne from his own father before him.

Bardock had been having some feelings of foreboding and these feelings and images were scrambled and made no sense to him. When King Vegeta sat at their small table and asked for the three of them to join him Bardock quickly complied. Sitting opposite the regent he left the sides for Gine and Rasha to sit. "Is it the boys Lord Vegeta? Nothing has happened to them?" Bardock was clearly nervous though he hid it the best he could for the girls' sake.

[King Vegeta]

King Vegeta sighed. He didn't know how to put this into words that wouldn't cause them to panic. He especially wasn't prepared to discuss this in front of Rasha, Raditz twin sister, not knowing much about the saiyan child.

"I don't know how to tell you this my old friends but," King Vegeta pause and took a deep breath and continued. "Your son, Raditz, is currently in critical condition at the palace infirmary." He lowered his head in apology. He knew they would not appreciate this news. He looked back to Bardock and Gine. "Earlier this morning we had Raditz test the strength and capability of my nephew, Ruba Vegeta, to see if my nephew had what it took to join the prince's military group." He clenched his fist so hard that his knuckles turned white.

He sighed, "The fight was going well, with Raditz having the upper hand in the fight. Then out of rage Ruba charged him and shattered his spine with a full force headbutt." King Vegeta slammed his fist on the table and let out a grunt of frustration. "I have banished my nephew and exiled him off world for this atrocity. A saiyan who can not control his power is a danger to all of us." He bowed his head once more in apology to Bardock and Gine. "I apologize for the folly of someone of my blood causing damage and almost taking the life of your son. Raditz has always done as he has been told and has done well to keep my son in check. I do hope you forgive me for failing as your king." He rose from his chair and bowed towards Bardock and Gine.

[Rasha]

Rasha was sitting on the floor close to the door but unseen as she listened to the conversation that was happening and when she heard about Raditz critical condition she grew alarmed. She then stood up and as she heard the rest of what he told her parents she stepped out into the hall and silently looked at them all. She then came into the kitchen and looked up at the king and she said, "Can I see my brother, sire?..."

[Bardock]

Bardock sat silently as King Vegeta explained the reason for his visit. Even after hearing the news his gaze remained stoic and unwavering. Bardock cared what happened to his eldest son, sure. This was their king and leader giving this news. Their past relationship aside, it was not Bardock's place to question.

Bardock had to admit he didn't know much about Ruba but did know the law when it came to controlling one's power. It is why Bardock was one of the few lower class saiyans capable of controlling himself during their transformations. His mind was not lost during the process as was commonly found. He hoped to teach Raditz and Rasha in time along with baby Kakarot.

Bardock's thoughts trailed to that of his eldest son. He knew his cocky nature and tried to warn the boy during their training about letting his guard down. It was something the young boy still had problems mastering. The fight wasn't over until your opponent could no longer fight, even... Even if that meant killing them to ensure victory. It was not the Saiyan creed to me merciful in the heat of battle.

Bardock came out of his thoughts when King Vegeta rose from his seat. "Well it would seem both children learned a very valuable lesson today." Bardock looked over at King Vegeta as a quick flash of green rippled across his eyes. "Lord Vegeta, if I may be so bold. I appreciate you coming down here personally to inform us of Raditz's condition. It is a great honor to have you in our little home. My son knows what is expected of him as a Saiyan Warrior and I thought I trained him better than to turn his back on an opponent. His injuries are his own folly and not your own." Bardock rose to his feet to meet King Vegeta's before he continued.

Bardock looked over at Gine expecting her to chime in as she was the softer of the pair and always went too easy on the kids and telling him he was being too hard. It was then that Rasha peaked her head in asking to go see her brother. Bardock didn't think much of the idea at first, but then figured it would be good for her to see the condition her brother was in. If she was going to train to be a warrior then she was going to have to be exposed to the results of battle first hand.

Bardock looked over at the doorway and then back to King Vegeta for confirmation, "If it would be alright old friend, we will leave at once. I am positive Raditz will recover from this Lord Vegeta. We have some of the best medical staff in the universe. Of anything he will become stronger for it. After all, he is my son." Bardock smiled at King Vegeta and then collected his scouter from the table.

Bardock looked over at Gine and gave a smile, "Don't worry about Raditz. Rasha and I will go check on him. You stay here and look after our new addition."

[King Vegeta]

King Vegeta smiled, he approached Gine and gave her a hug. "Thank you Gine for taking care of Bardock. I know he can be a bit brash, but he is a good man. I should know he did save my life a few times." He release Gine and approached Bardock and Rasha. He looked at the young saiyan girl and smiled at her. "Come I'll escort you both to the Palace infirmary. Don't want the Royal guard thinking your nobodies."

King Vegeta exited the Bardock resident and began down the road with Bardock and Rasha in tow. As they walk through the streets towards the palace King Vegeta sighed as he heard others of his race making small talk about the king walking the streets with commoners. He began to grow frustrated, but kept his composure for he was the king of the saiyans. He kept walking and held his head high.

They began to approach the palace as the guard rush to greet him. He raised his hand to have them halt. "I've returned and I'm bring along guests. This is Bardock and his daughter Rasha. We are going to see his son, Raditz, in the infirmary to check on his progress." He then lowered his hand and began walking with Bardock and Rasha again.

They entered the palace and began walking down the main hall. King Vegeta noticed Nappa and the prince standing by the door to the infirmary. He smiled as the bowed in respect to him. He watched as Bardock and Rasha bowed to his son. He jestured for them to stand aside as he, Bardock and Rasha entered the infirmary.

[Bardock]

Bardock followed closely behind King Vegeta with little Rasha in tow as they traveled to the palace. They were stopped only a moment as the palace guards came out to investigate. King Vegeta delt with them quickly as they stood to the side allowing the trio to enter. Once inside Bardock kept a close eye on Rasha. He knew it was very possible that some of Lord Freeza's other thugs could very well be within these halls keeping tabs. He also knew the effect that the palace had on him the first time he was there.

Bardock looked relieved to see only Saiyans and lesser species currently in the palace as they came to the entrance to the royal infirmary. Bardock greeted the young prince before he continued through the door. Inside he saw several advanced medical equipment and staff rushing back and forth. He scanned the room looking for Raditz. "I don't see him, where is my son."

[Raditz]

Raditz had no idea what hit him, he was sure he'd claimed victory in the exhibition match he was having with one of the Royals. His opponent was down so he turned to face the crowd when all he could remember was a sudden sharp pain shoot through his entire body originating from his back and then nothing. Everything went dark....

One of the orderlies overheard King Vegeta and his two guests walk in. He was a short reptilian standing little more that three to four feet tall. He had a large beak for a mouth and wore a skirt type of smock scrubs he had a modified scouter on his face. The orderly walked up with a pad on his hand.

"Lord Vegeta." He addressed before looking at Bardock and Rasha. "Ah yes, you must be Bardock, we were expecting your visit when Lord Vegeta had your son brought in. If you two will come with me, the child Raditz is back this way." The orderly gestured for Bardock and Rasha to follow him as he waddled to where several medical pods were located.

"Your son is quite the tiny fighter. Raditz gave quite the show I was told. His injuries are few, but it is the one to his spine that is most troubling. While his back is technically intact, it has been fractured severally and some of the fragments have lacerated his lungs making it hard for him to breathe on his own."


The orderly came up to a medical pod and stopped in front of it as he examined his tablet before taping on the keypad on the pod. "Due to the damage to your son's spinal nerves his brain is having a hard time sending signals to the rest of his body. He's unable to move and we've put him on a ventilator to help him breath for the time being."

Raditz was floating in synthetic saiyan DNA inside the pod the orderly was just examining. His armor was stripped and he was only wearing his undergarments. Over his face was a snorkel like device that kept him from drowning in the substance while also providing air to his lungs. Several other tubes and wires were placed over his body monitoring key statistics such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

[King Vegeta]

King Vegeta listened as the orderly explain Raditz situation to Bardock and Rasha. He turned towards the door as Nappa and his son, Prince Vegeta, walked into the infirmary and approached them. He smiled, "Commander Nappa! Coming to pay one of your team a visit?" King Vegeta smiled as he approached Nappa and shook his hand.

King Vegeta looked down to his son who was staring at Rasha. He could tell the prince was itching for a fight after watch Raditz fight his cousin. "Now son, where are your manners? Introduce yourself to Rasha and Bardock. They are Raditz family after all you are in charge of his troop." King Vegeta placed his hand on the prince's back and pushed him forward.

[Nappa]

Nappa was a young saiyan with black hair and a mustache. He was a towering man built of solid muscle and pure ferocity. He was a well respected saiyan who rose through the ranks at a young age and achieved the rank of Commander of the Saiyan Army.

As Nappa enter the infirmary with the prince he saw the king standing by a healing pod with the broken body of Raditz. Nappa smiled and found that raditz, being the Runt of the troop, should have the nickname Raditz the Runt. He smiled as he and the prince approached the king. He then noticed a saiyan male and child standing by the kings side as they looked at the Runt in his tank.

"King Vegeta it's honor to see you here checking on Raditz." He said as he approached and shook the kings hand. He smiled and inform the king on his decision to delay the departure of the prince's troop until Raditz finished recovering. "We can't be down a man at this point we'll need all the help we can get." He told the king as he looked towards the prince.

[Vegeta]

The prince walked into the infirmary, slightly agitated. He understood he had to make an appearance and see his subordinate, but it was just a waste of time. Not only that, but Nappa had canceled their departure date until Raditz had recovered. This to him was more trouble that what it was worth. He approached the pod and looked towards his father.

He Listen as King Vegeta and Nappa discussed future plans as he looked over and saw Bardock, Raditz father, and a young saiyan girl standing by the pod. He looked at the girl and smiled. After watching Raditz lose to his cousin and the fight ending abruptly, he was itching for a fight. He smiled as he heard his father tell him to introduce himself and shoved him forward.

The prince sighed and said, "As you command father. I am Price Vegeta it's my pleasure to meet you." The prince hated being formal, but did as his father wished. He waited for the others to respond and greet him as well.

[Rasha]

Rasha followed her father and the king to the royal medical infirmary quietly out of respect. When they were let in she saw the prince and his giant of a companion Nappa and she paused only long enough to take in his size. She then followed them in and they headed to where her brother was recovering. She looked at him a moment then heard the kind tell his son to introduce himself and she looked at the Prince and said, "The pleasure is mine." and as she said that she was studying him discretely a moment then glanced back at her twin brother in the tank. She could feel the prince's eyes still on her as he was sizing her up and she tried to not show any disrespect. She then turned back and looked at her father and the king...

[Bardock]

Bardock followed the medical personnel to where his son was currently receiving care in one of the special medical pods. He did his best to listen to the diagnosis but couldn't get his mind around some of the terminology. What was wrong with Raditz didn't matter as much to Bardock as if he would recover and be able to fight. Even though Rasha was his oldest, Raditz was his first born son and he had high hopes for the boy.

When they stopped in front of a medical pod Bardock watched as the short orderly tapped several buttons and continued to explain Raditz's injuries. Bardock looked at his son through the medical glass thinking about the first time Raditz and Rasha both came into this world. They were both so little and innocent. They knew nothing of what was awaiting them. Then there was Kakarot, the newest addition to his family. What kind of Saiyan would he grow up to be?

Bardock clenched his fist as it lay on the pod. "How long?" He finally responded, "How long before my son recovers!? How long will he have to be in there?" There was a small hint of anger in his tone. Hearing the young prince and his daughter introduce themselves to each other brought him quickly back to his senses. Bardock looked at both of them in turn before apologizing for his outburst.

"Please forgive me young prince, you too Lord Vegeta. I didn't realize how much it would hit me seeing Raditz in this condition."

[Vegeta]

The prince scoffed as Bardock apologized. "What saiyan apologies for his rage? It's what makes us strong if you were a warrior you'd know that Bardock. I guess when father demoted you it was because you were soft." Vegeta said and began to laugh hysterically. He knew how much Raditz looked up to his father and if his sister was anything like him, this would anger her. He turned his back on them and stood over by Nappa. He just waited to see how things would play out.

[Rasha]

The prince scoffed as Bardock apologized. "What saiyan apologies for his rage? It's what makes us strong if you were a warrior you'd know that Bardock. I guess when father demoted you it was because you were soft." Vegeta said and began to laugh hysterically. He knew how much Raditz looked up to his father and if his sister was anything like him, this would anger her. He turned his back on them and stood over by Nappa. He just waited to see how things would play out.

Rasha heard what her father said and then she heard the prince give a snarky response to how her father showed emotions towards Raditz condition. She then turned to the prince and she said, "Your assumptions on what soft means is pretty lacking...if it wasn't for my father's ability to care he wouldn't of saved your father and you wouldn't be here right now." She said as she looked at the prince as he turned his back and went over to where Nappa was. She then realized how out spoken she was and she glanced at her father and the king. She then looked back at the prince and Nappa .

[Nappa]

Rasha heard what her father said and then she heard the prince give a snarky response to how her father showed emotions towards Raditz condition. She then turned to the prince and she said, "Your assumptions on what soft means is pretty lacking...if it wasn't for my father's ability to care he wouldn't of saved your father and you wouldn't be here right now." She said as she looked at the prince as he turned his back and went over to where Nappa was. She then realized how out spoken she was and she glanced at her father and the king. She then looked back at the prince and Nappa .

Nappa was furious. How dare this little punk speak to the prince of saiyans as he were his equal. He stepped forward and towered over her. He said with such rage, "YOU LITTLE PUNK!!! HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO THE PRINCE LIKE THAT?!?! I'LL HAVE YOUR HEAD FOR SUCH INSUBORDINATION!!!" Nappa raised his hand to the girl as he saw King Vegeta step forward with a very disturbing rage in his eyes. He backed away slowly as the King approached.

[King Vegeta]

Rasha heard what her father said and then she heard the prince give a snarky response to how her father showed emotions towards Raditz condition. She then turned to the prince and she said, "Your assumptions on what soft means is pretty lacking...if it wasn't for my father's ability to care he wouldn't of saved your father and you wouldn't be here right now." She said as she looked at the prince as he turned his back and went over to where Nappa was. She then realized how out spoken she was and she glanced at her father and the king. She then looked back at the prince and Nappa .

Nappa was furious. How dare this little punk speak to the prince of saiyans as he were his equal. He stepped forward and towered over her. He said with such rage, "YOU LITTLE PUNK!!! HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO THE PRINCE LIKE THAT?!?! I'LL HAVE YOUR HEAD FOR SUCH INSUBORDINATION!!!" Nappa raised his hand to the girl as he saw King Vegeta step forward with a very disturbing rage in his eyes. He backed away slowly as the King approached.

King Vegeta was taken aback by the situation that had just unfolded before his eyes. He knew what the prince had said was out of line, but Rasha's response was uncalled for, even though it was true. He watched as Nappa approached the girl in rage and he stepped forward with his one disturbing rage. A rage towards his son, his Commander and the daughter of his good friend. "ENOUGH ALL OF YOU!!! Prince Vegeta you know better then to try and start fights unless you are aware of their level of strength, have you learned nothing?!? As for you, Commander Nappa, you will hold your tongue unless I need to remind you who is King. I don't need you to fight a battle for me or the prince." King Vegeta said with a roar in his voice.

He turned and looked to Rasha who was still staring the prince down. "As for you," he said towards Rasha, "I will not tolerate disrespect towards my son. He may have been in the wrong and what you said was true, it does not give you the right to act out. ARE WE CLEAR?!?!" He rose his voice again and all of the orderlies stopped what they were doing to look at the angered King.

The reptilian orderly approached King Vegeta, while shaking in his boots, said to him, "If it would please you sire we do believe Raditz will be back to full strength within the next two days. His spine is actually healing quite fast, especially after you brought in the boy's father and sister. It seems he reacted to their presence and he is very eager to leave the pod." The orderly looked at Bardock, nodded and resumed his duties..

King Vegeta still angered by the behavior of his underlings looked to Bardock and said, "Well two days is faster then normal for most saiyans who receive injuries such as his. Now then let us all leave and allow him the rest he deserves." King Vegeta turned and began to walk out of the infirmary, his temper still triggered by that ungodly display of disrespect by the prince, his Commander and young Rasha. He stood in the hall waiting for them all to rejoin him.

[Bardock]

Bardock looked over at the prince, then his eyes grew wide when he heard the soft spoken voice of his daughter ring out. Events escalated quickly as they unfolded. Rasha spoke her mind out of turn and Nappa was about to correct her. Had King Vegeta not put a stop to the larger saiyan Bardock was already poised to defend his little girl.

Bardock clenched his fist as he snuffed out a small spark of ki he was already channeling. He then nodded to the orderly accepting the diagnosis of a speedy recovery. Bardock ushered his daughter out of the medical room as he chose to address Prince Vegeta's brash statement about his retirement and lack of ruthlessness.

"Allow me to apologize for my daughter Lord Vegeta. I only started her training this morning before your arrival in our home. She has rarely ventured far from home and is not quite education in proper etiquette when addressing superiors. Her mother and I will find a suitable punishment when we get home. As for your son, might I ask you something of him?"

Bardock waited for King Vegeta to respond to his request. He was already upset and didn't know if now was the best time to ask. Still He wanted to show the Prince that not all is what it seemed, "I know it is not my place to say so but Prince Vegeta seems to be missinformed on a few thing I feel he should be aware of. Would you permit Prince Vegeta to sit in on a exhibition between Nappa and myself. The two are not scheduled to depart until Raditz recovers anyway." Bardock didn't hint that it wasn't just the prince he wanted to correct. Bardock wanted to personally correct Nappa on his outburst.

His rage still burning, King Vegeta waited for Bardock and the others left.. He knew his rage was a little over the top, but he was still within his right. As the other approached, he saw that Bardock was still a little unhinged by Nappas out burst and attempted attack against Rasha. Though this action was normal, it did not absolve Nappa for not understanding what she meant. He stood as Bardock made his request of him.

"I see no issue with this if it is an exhibition match you desire I'll allow it. As for you Nappa, I will not absolve you for your outburst. What you Rasha said is true and your retaliation would have done nothing, but hurt a future warrior of our race. Remember your place. As for you son..." He turned towards the prince with rage still in his eyes, "Act out again and you will not ever leave the planet, am I understood? I will not tolerate your disrespect of any kind."

King Vegeta walked towards the courtyard, "Come now if it's exhibition match then you can have it in the courtyard." He waited for them in the courtyard and knew Bardock wanted this not only to prove a point, but to remind Nappa of his place. This didn't bother him and he was interested to see how this turned out.

He listened to what was being said between the Bardock and King Vegeta. The fact that this lower class warrior wanted to challenge him to make a point baffled him, but he wasn't one to back down from a fight.

"If you want to fight me then I'm game, just don't cry when I pummel you into the ground you lower class trash." Nappa said as he laughed and began to walk towards the courtyard. Nappa was itching fight and Bardock was the perfect toy for him to play with. He stood on one end of the courtyard and look at Bardock, "I ready when you are lower class trash." Nappa readied himself for Bardocks first round of blows.

[Rasha]

When Rasha responded to the prince she realized a moment too late that her words and tone was disrespectful. She then heard Nappa get angry at her and then the king scold her and she felt the sudden flush of fear and she immediately dropped her head to the king and said, "Forgive me sire...I meant no disrespect."

At that moment she felt like all eyes were on her and she wanted to just run home, but she stayed and kept silent and had her head down. She hated herself for showing such emotional weakness and as she dwelt on what just happened she decided to work on her personal resolve and control of emotions. This would cause her over time to have a very stoic personality, unflinching and unmoved by things around her.

She then heard what her father said to Nappa and the king and when it was agreed there was gonna be an expedition she looked at her father and wondered if it was because of her but didn't have the courage to say anything else, instead she followed them out to a courtyard and she stood on the sideline and watched as things unfolded.

[Bardock]

It seemed too easy. This low class trash thinks he can talk down to him and disrespect his daughter. Bardock was all to eager to get this started. Bardock was going to this young punk what age and wisdom brought. He was pleased when King Vegeta agreed to his request. Nappa's further outburst confirmed there was not much going on upstairs.

Bardock gave a smile to King Vegeta as Nappa walked past him and entered the courtyard. "Thank you Lord Vegeta. I promise not to rough him up too much." Bardock knew his words were hollow, and he knew King Vegeta knew his history on the battlefield and knew what Nappa was going to be in for.

Bardock entered the courtyard and walked over to the corner opposite Nappa. "Go easy on me now, I'm not as young as I use to be." Bardock yelled across the courtyard to Nappa as he was stretching. Once finished Bardock took a glance at his daughter and then back to Nappa. He stood there sizing up his opponent while waiting for the que to begin from King Vegeta.

Like a flash, Bardock was off. As he charged towards Nappa Bardock's ki channeled into his right hand. As soon as he was close enough Bardock released the blast at the ground in from of Nappa engulfing him in dust and smoke. He knew that the younger Nappa was strong physically even if not quite on his level, Bardock was the better tactician.

Bardock waited for the dust to fully engulf Nappa before his next move. He wanted to gage the younger Saiyan's reaction time. Should Nappa try to flee towards the sky, Bardock intended to follow suit with another ball of ki already channeled into his fist, this time it was stronger and intended to do damage, not just as a distraction. Should he stumble, however the opening would be made as Bardock would cleave Nappa's leg from behind the knee to knock him off balance placing his ki blast into the younger Saiyan's chest launching him into the air and across the courtyard.

[Nappa]

As Bardock rushed him he took to his defensive stance, and he prepared to block the oncoming onslaught. As Nappa readied his punch Bardock used some of his ki and launched it at the ground infront of him causing his visibility on him to dissipate. "Clever move old man, but that won't work on me!" He yelled out to Bardock as he began to charge an overwhelming amount of ki. Nappa stood there as the dust began to settle and the moment he got eyes on Bardock he used his signature move Blazing Storm.

As he smiled a cocky smile he raised two fingers and cause everything withing a 30 foot radius of him to erupt with explosive power. It launch a multitude of debris into the air. He leapt into the sky as he charged Bardock, hoping he was affect by the blast. Nappa aimed to finish this quickly so he can go back to something a little more productive then dealing with lower class garbage.

[Bardock]

Bardock was not expecting this brash brute to try and destroy the whole courtyard right out of the gate. Yet here he was being engulfed in a flash of ki and being the one thrown into the air. Bardock's eyes were closed, being temporarily blinded by the massive attack. It was fine however as he was a veteran of battle and didn't always need his eyes or even his scouter to find his opponent. Nappa's cockiness gave him away the moment he left the ground to trail after the seemingly stunned Bardock.

At this very moment Bardock was calculating his speed and how long he'd been airborne. Nappa was fast to react to his initial attack so he expected larger saiyan to be equally as quick to pursue him. Bardock was not disappointed as he quickly opened his eyes Inching closer.

Bardock waited for just the right second before he reacted. Bardock twisted his body in the air and pivoted of Nappa as he grabbed the larger saiyan and kicked himself away before firing his Riot Javelin attack. Bardock then used the flying debris to pivot off of as he returned to the ground out of breath. "Come on now Nappa, if that is the best you can do I'm going to get board."
