General RPG Rules :
GENERAL RULES OF PLAY:
1. - You must create a character profile to play in an RPG. Just a brief outline of your character will due (A Profile Template will be provided for you) If you like you can create a back story and go into detail, but it is not necessary. Once you have created the profile submit it to a Moderator or Administrator for approval. If approved it will be posted in the Character Profile section.
2. God Characters are allowed but they must be approved by an admin.
3. There is to be no double posting, you cannot post again until someone else posts after you.
4. You can post your ideas for RPG's and missions in the appropriate suggestions section.
5. Sigs are okay in this RPG, just make sure they aren't some huge monstrosity, you know keep them at a respectable size.
6. If you have any comments or questions please place them in the OOC (Out Of Character) section or make an OOC post in the thread so everyone knows you are not in character.
7. Feel free to use Private messages. They are a great way of asking other RPGers questions, planning a story, working out how a fight sequence should go etc...Etc...
8. All stories (Episodes) will be drawn to a definite end if they run way too long or begin to fizzle out; once a story has been fully played out it will be brought to a close and the topic locked, if there are any loose ends these will be saved for a future RPG or tied up in an epilogue or continued as mini episodes in any one of the faction areas. You will be notified when a particular Episode is coming to end or being started.
9. If your character is not present at a sequence of events than your character will not know of it until they are informed. This is a common sense rule; knowing everything is not going to be tolerated no character has ESP.
10. Read the previous posts in the RPG, this helps to keep a story intact and stops things from going way out in left field.
11. If you are going to be away for a bit then write something that will take you out of the story for a little while, or allow someone else to use your character.
12. You may only control the actions of your character, posting what another player character does is not allowed without their permission. You are allowed to control the actions of a non-player character for example – You have a conversation with a non-player character to help move the story along or interact if it serves a purpose. Players may not kill a person’s character without their permission or knowledge but death may occur, it just has to be done via role-play to allow that person to defend themselves. You can also destroy a member’s personal vessel, but again it must be done via role-play. If your character dies don't despair, simply create a new one.
13. there is no minimum or maximum number of posts per day, but if you neglect to post and leave players hanging to long we will continue on without you in a tasteful way so you can rejoin when you come back. If you plan to be gone for a long period or want to leave the RP then you can either hand over your character (Canon only), kill off your character or write yourself as leaving the scene to be alone.
14. be creative in your posts, but please keep the swearing to a minimum. Making fun of characters in jest is okay, especially if it is creative and funny, but making fun of members or insulting them is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
15. All players make sure you read character profiles so you know how to interact with various characters.
16. Each member will be allowed as many user accounts as they can handle, with 3 playable characters on each account unless they are playing a Gestalt/Combiner. That gives you limitless possibilities to work with, and will allow you to play in different eras. Be careful though....if you can't handle 5-10 characters or 5-10 accounts or more, then don't try it, stick with what makes you comfortable. (this will be revised as needed when more people join, so the character accounts are not set in stone, there will eventually be a limit)
User accounts are not set by an all over RP limitation, the limitation is per RP. So if I say you are allowed 6 accounts in the TF RP I will say for which part because some characters are not in some parts of the rp. But still remember to have only what you can handle and if you do take a top name character, be sure to be here to post as needed and it might be a lot.
17. Fan Made/User Made characters are more than welcome, you are not confined to following the continuity word for word, for example if certain characters are dead in the continuity, they don't have to stay dead here.
18. All rules will be enforced at all costs.
19. Have Fun! If you have any problems let one of the staff members know.
20. Admins will be responsible for making or approving Canon profiles so if you make a profile please submit it to me Via private message and I will post it up after it is approved.
