Devlin's Trial; The Fated Rematch between Brothers!! Devlin v Goku

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin had spent a good time in Universe 13 to train and watch over his governed Universe, and in that time he had grown bored. His duties began to seem forced and unwanted to be done when his angel had suggested maybe taking some time to visit his home and family to help clear his mind, when this was said to him the first person that popped into his head was Kakarot. The last time Devlin had actually visited his youngest sibling was during the Androids onslaught of Earth to test the capabilities of his brothers super Saiyan form, even Devlin had heard of what not just Kakarot but Vegeta had done and unlocked in the time since then hell he'd witnessed it from the Tournament of Power. Devlin stood up and stretched lazily and turned to face Jaeger who informed that under last inspection his brother was on Earth.
"I would guess it is safe to assume that Kakarot is off training then, no matter I know just the blue haired individual who can point me his way. I will return soon, do take care Jaeger."
Devlin said and his yellowish gold eyes flashed as he teleported and reappeared in the lobby of Capsule Corp, Devlin walked over to the front desk and told them he was looking for Bulma then took a seat in a chair that was a little to small for his Saiyan build to wait.

[Jaeger the Angel]

Jaeger watched as Devlin rose and said he'd return soon the promptly left without him, the angel sighed softly and lifted his staff it appeared that Lord Chikimaru was in a mood again and had forgotten the rules bestowed upon him by the Omni King. Jaeger tapped his staff on the ground and teleported himself to where his destroyer went, when he appeared he saw a comedic sight he would have never guessed to witness. The Destroyer God of Universe 13 sitting in what appeared to be a childrens chair, Jaeger walked over and looked down to Devlin and smiled.
"I am sorry my Lord, but under obligation of the Omni King I must accompany you wherever you go. Also are you aware that you have sat in a children's chair?"
Jaeger said softly

[Bulma]

Bulma was out on the patio when one of her helpers came up to her and told her she had a visitor. She wasn't expecting anyone but she had gotten used to unexpected visitors happening more and more often. She then looked over and saw Goku and Vegeta talking and Vegeta getting annoyed at Goku as always. She then shook her head and gave a grin then excused herself and went off to go see who arrived. When she came out to the waiting area of her office side of Capsule Corp she saw Devlin and his angel tenant Jaeger. She paused a moment then said, "Hello Devlin...it's been a while since I have seen you...is there something I can help you with?..."

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin looked up to see Jaeger and before he could respond to him Bulma approached and greeted him saying she hadn’t seen him in a long time. Devlin rose and bowed slightly and when he stood upright he had a soft smile on his face.
“Indeed I’d say it’s been 30 years since I stepped foot on your industries property, it’s nice to see that it’s kept it place in the world. I do apologize for the unannounced appearance but I was wondering if you’ve seen my brother Kakarot I was looking to see if he may be interested in a bit of a challenge. I would ask Vegeta but I’m sure you’re keeping him busy with husband tasks.”
Devlin said a tone of calm in his voice.

[Bulma]

Bulma listened to Devlin and she said, "Well yeah...he is actually out on our back patio talking to Vegeta...I think he is to get him to train some but Vegeta is a bit extra cranky today...I'm sure he would like seeing you it's been a bit hasn't it?..." She said then led the way to the back patio

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin listened as Bulma spoke confirming that Kakarot was indeed there with Vegeta and that they would like to see him after the long span of time he had been distant from them. Devlin rose and nodded to Jaeger who followed him as he walked not far behind Bulma, he could see the wandering looks as they went and he shrugged it off as them only having seen Beerus instead of other destroyers. When they arrived at the patio Devlin crossed his arms and looked at Kakarot and Vegeta.
“Hello Little Brothers, it’s a beautiful day here on Earth isn’t it?”

[Goku]

Goku was still trying to convince Vegeta into a bit of training but he was met with a very irritated Vegeta. He was then told to get lost and he frowned and watched as Vegeta walked off.

He then looked over at Beerus and Whis who were both happy to eat their fill. He then looked over just as Bulma came back with Devlin and another he didn't recognize but he did notice the attire both of them wore and he said, "Oh hey Devlin..." He said then paused then said, "Hey what happened to you?...are you a God of destruction?...your clothes look like Beerus'..."

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin watched as Kakarot spoke with Vegeta and Vegeta irritably walked off, his youngest sibling then turned and saw him. He watched as excitement turned to curiosity and Kakarot began to ask him questions which caused Devlin to smile warmly.
“Hello Kakarot, you’re right in assuming my position. I was appointed the role of Universe 13’s God of Destruction not long after your robot friend made his wish on the Super Dragon Balls, it was brought to my attention from my lovely angel friend that the uniform isn’t optional amongst other things. Lord Beerus has given me some pointers as well but how have you been brother, I haven’t had the chance to see you since the Tournament of Power.”
Devlin said slowly

[Goku]

Devlin watched as Kakarot spoke with Vegeta and Vegeta irritably walked off, his youngest sibling then turned and saw him. He watched as excitement turned to curiosity and Kakarot began to ask him questions which caused Devlin to smile warmly.
“Hello Kakarot, you’re right in assuming my position. I was appointed the role of Universe 13’s God of Destruction not long after your robot friend made his wish on the Super Dragon Balls, it was brought to my attention from my lovely angel friend that the uniform isn’t optional amongst other things. Lord Beerus has given me some pointers as well but how have you been brother, I haven’t had the chance to see you since the Tournament of Power.”
Devlin said slowly

Goku's attention was fully gotten as he heard what Devlin said and just like any time he discovers a potential challenge he said, "So does that mean you are now as strong as Lord Beerus?..." He said now very curious.

He then said, "After the tournament I had been trying to master the ultra instinct technique but it's been challenging without anyone strong enough to push me that far..."

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin listened as Kakarot spoke and he chuckled softly and brushed the hair from his face.
“Unfortunately I cannot say whether I am as strong as the mighty Lord Beerus but I can say if the two of us were to go toe to toe with no restraint only the Omni King would be capable of stopping us. As for your Ultra Instinct that is why I am here, during my training I have obtained a certain ability that is exclusive for us Destroyers that rivals it, since you need assistance in pushing yourself into activating the form I have a proposition for you. Come with me to Universe 13, if you would like to bring Whis and Beerus along you can, and allow me to put you through a trial of willpower.”
Devlin said that burning Saiyan pride and passion gleaming in his eyes as he stared his brother down anticipating his response.

[Vegeta]

Vegeta was trying to ignore Kakarot and his constant berating to train with him. He was about to yell at the clown when his former attendant walked in and questioned Kakarot. Vegeta scoffed and waited for the two to finish speaking so he could politely excuse himself since he was in the presence of a new deity.

[Goku]

Devlin listened as Kakarot spoke and he chuckled softly and brushed the hair from his face.

Goku listened to Devlin as he spoke about Beerus and he glanced over and saw Beerus looking at them. He then looked back at Devlin and listened as he offered a challenge and he got excited. He then thought about the concept of trial by willpower and he thought about it. He then said, "Sure...I'm down for a challenge..."

He then looked over at Beerus and Whis and he said, "Hey Beerus you want to come?..."

[Beerus]

Beerus was enjoying his food while watching Goku try to talk Vegeta into training. He could only crack a grin because he knew his training he was doing with Vegeta has him focused in ways Goku isn't ready for. He then saw as Devlin arrived with his angel Jaeger and he looked up and then at Whis and he asked Whis, "Whis...isn't that Devlin...the one the Omni King chose as the new God of destruction of universe 13?..."

He then stood up and walked over to where they stood and he said, "I'm not sure what you are planning but I would like to observe so I will come...if just to make sure you don't cause something that will anger the Omni King..."

[Whis]

Whis had noticed the arrival of Devlin before the others, buy paid no mind to it since he approached Bulma and then Goku. Whis was enjoying the meal in front of him and moan in pleasure as he took a bite of some tempura shrimp. Whis smiled as Beerus asked him a question and said, "Yes Lord Beerus. That is Lord Chikimaru of Universe 13 and reincarnation of Akumo. Currently with him is my younger brother Jaeger who I haven't seen in sometime, even after his return from erasure."

Whis watched as Beerus got up and made his way towards the saiyans as they discussed a trial. He smirked and followed suit and smiled at everyone. He listened as Beerus proclaimed his reasons for going and chuckled as he said, "More like you want to Guage the level of your newfound destroyer friend. It's a pleasure to see you Lord Chikimaru and you as well Jaeger." Whis gave a bow towards the two and remained listening to the discussions.

[Vegeta]

Vegeta continued to listen and became interested when Beerus and Whis came to join the conversation. He smirked and said, "Well I don't mind tagging along and seeing your new home, but I'll let you and Kakarot fight. I have to focus on my new training. Training that Kakarot can't wrap his head around since he doesn't known how to sit still." Vegeta crossed his arms and waited for everyone to make a decision.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Beerus was enjoying his food while watching Goku try to talk Vegeta into training. He could only crack a grin because he knew his training he was doing with Vegeta has him focused in ways Goku isn't ready for. He then saw as Devlin arrived with his angel Jaeger and he looked up and then at Whis and he asked Whis, "Whis...isn't that Devlin...the one the Omni King chose as the new God of destruction of universe 13?..."

He then stood up and walked over to where they stood and he said, "I'm not sure what you are planning but I would like to observe so I will come...if just to make sure you don't cause something that will anger the Omni King..."

Devlin watched as Beerus came up and answered Kakarot's question stating his skepticism of Devlin's intent, before Devlin could respond Whis walked over and welcomed him and Jaeger in which Devlin bowed and rose with a gentle smile.
"Lord Beerus, Whis it is wonderful to see you two again. I do apologize for not coming in and checking in with you, I have been rather wrapped up in this Ultra Ego training Jaeger insists I master. I do apologize if I come off like I have an ulterior motive but I do promise that I'm just in the mood for a quick test of my younger brothers capabilities and motivation."
Devlin said and turned to look at Vegeta still wearing that same warm smile.
"It would be my honor Vegeta, I'm proud of how far you've come and grown since you were a boy. I suppose you and Kakarot will be catching a ride with Whis and Beerus?"
Devlin said and looked back at Jaeger who placed a hand on his shoulder.

[Jaeger the Angel]

Jaeger promptly followed Devlin and Bulma and when they arrived at the patio he placed his staff end down on the flooring, in front of him stood the two Saiyans that Lord Chikimaru knew as his brothers Kakarot and Vegeta. Looking past them he saw two immediately recognized people sitting and eating what appeared to be seafood, Lord Beerus and Jaegers older brother Whis, he chuckled as he heard the Saiyans converse and the call over Lord Beerus. this was when his stature changed, he stood upright and patted down the back of Devlin's sash as Beerus came over and spoke and not long after his brother approached to welcome them both.
"Hello Whis, it has been a good long time since we saw one another hasn't it and Geetings to you Lord Beerus i hope you two are enjoying yourself in this beautiful weather."
Jaeger said as he listened in on Devlin and his conversation and when Devlin spoke of travelling back Jaeger placed a hand on Devlin's shoulder.
"I do apologize for being so overbearing Lord Chikimaru but I've come to learn that it is within my better interest to keep my eyes on my Destroyer at all times. I can bring us."
Jaeger said and smiled waiting patiently for the others

[Whis]

Whis listened as everyone spoke and smiled at his younger brother. It was nice to see that Jaeger had started taking his role as attendant and trainer more serious after the last destroyer he had. He smiled and said, "Not having to be the chaufer for once would be nice. I'll gladly take a free ride over exerting my energy any day." Whis walked over and placed a hand on his brother's shoulder and smiled, waiting to depart.

[Vegeta]

Vegeta heard what Devlin had said towards him and smirked. He looked to the new destroyer and said, "Working to master Ultra Ego, huh? I've been doing the same, while trying to add in the way Jiren trains. It's been a challenge, but we were able to see its capabilities not too long ago on Planet Cereal. I was able to hold my own for awhile, but the power is incredibly taxing. If your angel is offering us a ride to your universe, then I'll get situated." Vegeta walked over towards Jaeger and placed his hand the angel's opposite shoulder. Vegeta looked towards Kakarot and Beerus expectantly.

[Goku]

Goku went over to Jaeger anxious to see how this would go. He stepped over by Whis as he joined in on the connection. He then looked over at Lord Beerus and he said, "Hey...Lord Beerus...are you gonna join us?..."

[Beerus]

Beerus watched as everyone moved over to Jaeger and he then listened to what Vegeta said and a small grin appeared on his face. He then heard Goku as he spoke to him. He gave an annoyed grunt and said, "Of course I'm coming...I do want to see how this fight goes." He said then moved over and stood near Devlin then put his hand on Jaeger. He then said, "Let's us go...I am anxious to see how both of you perform."

[Jaeger the Angel]

Jaeger watched as everyone came to him and either put a hand on him or stood near him in preparation for their departure and he chuckled softly.
"Well I'd say I haven't transported this many people without my Cube, but I'm sure us deities old enough to remember know why. But that is semantics, let us go to Universe 13 I am sure that you all will enjoy to see what Lord Chikimaru has done with it."
Jaeger chuckled and tapped his staff against the ground instantly transporting them to the Barren Moon of Hoxtar, the capital planet of Universe !3. Engulfing the Moon in the void of space was a cascade of blinking and flashing colors.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin watched as everyone gathered and heard as Jaeger speak and a smirk formed on his face, unlike Akumo Devlin had no want to be stronger than his brother he wanted to be the strongest version he could be. He felt as they were transported and when he saw where Jaeger brought them he laughed out loud and stepped forward a few feet away from them.
"I do apologize Kakarot, but before we get on our tour we shall be fighting. Do not disappoint me Son-Goku, I have expectations in what you are able to achieve. Unlike the last time we fought, I do not want you holding back on me little brother, because I have things to show you and Vegeta."
Devlin said as he cracked his neck and turned around as he shifted into a fighting stance.

[Goku]

As they were carried to Universe 13 Goku watch with both curiosity and excitement. He knew this was gonna be a challenge but he wasn't fully sure the level of challenge.

When they arrived and everyone moved away from Jaeger, Goku looked over at Devlin as he heard him speak. He gave a grin and said, "I wouldn't expect anything less than a good challenge and dont worry...i dont plan to hold back..." he said then moved into a fight stance as he saw Devlin turn around to face him and drop into a fight pose.

Goku locked eyes with Devlin and as they did they both rose up in the air so they could move away from the others. He then waited to see what his first move was gonna be.

[Beerus]

As everyone arrived at the location within universe 13 Beerus wasn't too surprised when Devlin said he wanted to jump right into a fight. He knew this was gonna be a strong fight and he looked at Whis and said, "Whis?...I am correct in thinking this will be a big fight right?..I do belive I would rather watch this at safe distance." He said then the two of them took to the air and moved away from the center of the fight and watched from a safe distance.

[Whis]

Whis was surprised by how well Jaeger could handle multiverse travel and smiled as they arrived safely. He heard Beerus speak and agreed with him and moved to a safe distance as the prepared for the show.

[Vegeta]

Once everyone landed, Vegeta walked over towardsa nearby rock and began to meditate as he focused inward. Vegeta slowly began to rise off the rock as he fell into a deeper meditation and began to connect to his saiyan roots of power.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin listened as Kakarot spoke and a smirk formed on his face as everyone backed a safe distance away from them to watch. Devlin shot up in the air after him and hovered a decent distance away from Kakarot as he stretched his arms out and shifted into his fighting stance.
“Good because I won’t be Kakarot, let’s ease our way through this fight!”
Devlin said and shot towards Goku grabbing his arm and throwing him back to the ground following hot on his trail, Devlin reared his arm back as he clenched his hand into a fist and shouted as he came down.

[Goku]

Devlin listened as Kakarot spoke and a smirk formed on his face as everyone backed a safe distance away from them to watch. Devlin shot up in the air after him and hovered a decent distance away from Kakarot as he stretched his arms out and shifted into his fighting stance.

Goku looked at Devlin as he shot up in the air. He then heard him talk about easing his way into this fight but he knew better. He knew Devlin craved a good fight just like him and he gave a grin. He was then caught off guard as Devlin shot at him, grabbed his arm and tossed him to the ground.

As Goku was about to hit the ground he caught himself, landed on his feet then shot off the ground just as Devlin was about to hit him. As he crossed out of his reach he turned and hit him along the back of his neck causing him to hit the ground face first. He then jumped back, landed on the ground, dropped into a fight stance and watched to see what he would do next. Now he was fully attentive and not dropping his gaze even once as he watched him.

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin watched as Kakarot flipped through the air and landed on his feet, a sudden feeling of pride flowing through him as he watched. In the end he knew he’d have to go harder to catch his youngest sibling off guard, as he was about to swing at Kakarot who shot back towards him Kakarot shot out of the way and delivered a blow to his neck sending Devlin to the ground face first. This damage Devlin would eat with Gusto, he felt his brother land near him and shift to a fighting stance, Devlin slowly rose patting his pants down patiently.
“This is the Son Goku I’ve heard so many legends of. Keep it up Kakarot, I’m just warming up!”
Devlin said and shifted into a fighting stance Kakarot would instantly recognize as the one Vegeta had done all those years ago in the fight against him. Devlin began to charge his energy as two baseball sized ki balls formed in his hand, these would be his distraction. He shot one right at Kakarot causing him to jump up and then one directly on top of the other to kick up a cloud of decent sized rubble. Devlin shot forwards as he kicked a nice sized boulder up at Goku and held a hand palm out towards the moving rock he knew Kakarot would deflect it and when he did he would attempt to attack again.

[Goku]

"HAHAHAHA!!! Have it your way Kakarot. Extreme Speed times 7!"
Devlin said and shot off up into the air and began to speed around Kakarot delivering a flurry of blows as he stopped, he observed as Kakarot seemingly blocked most of his hits making it somewhat difficult to deal damage completely. When Devlin saw his chance he swung back his right fist and activated Mirror Style and swung a punch which Goku blocked to his left and it connected on his right sending him sidestepping. Devlin glared down at Kakarot and sidestepped away and snapped a super kick at Kakarot's chin causing him to backstep a few feet away from him. Devlin then shot at his younger brother and pushed them into a consecutive embrace of blow for blow melee, each perfectly and accurately blocked by the both of them.

[Goku]

Devlin watched as his brother dodged his attack and then appeared in the air just to destroy the rock and tell Devlin that he was slacking and Devlin reared back his head and laughed.

Devlin watched as Kakarot did his best to keep up with his speed and chuckled as Kakarot kept his distance after the snap kick to his jaw, when Devlin assumed his fighting stance once more he heard as his little brother once more spoke of him holding back and transformed into a Super Saiyan. Before Devlin could follow suit Kakarot once more rushed him and they were locked into a embrace again causing shockwaves to occur as they collided, Devlin watched his brothers movements carefully as they continued to match blows and when he found an opening he kneed him in the gut and then slammed an elbow into Kakarot's back sending him towards the ground.
"Have it your way Kakarot, I'll transform but I will continue to take your blows to show you my true power!"
Devlin said and transformed into Super Saiyan as well the shot down to the surface where his brother was getting up, he shot forward and kicked him in the side sending him skidding against the ground then shot off after him and grabbed him by the ankle and swung him over his head and slammed him against the ground with a loud yell. Devlin then shot back and assumed his typical fighting stance, unlike Goku he had fully unlocked the true potential of Super Saiyan and his hair and taken a vivid lime green color. A cocky smirk formed on Devlin's face as he waited for his brother to get up.

As the two of them fought Goku was caught off guard as Devlin came in and kneed him in the gut and then elbow slammed him to the ground and as he was about to right himself he was kicked in the side and sent skidding and then grabbed by the ankle and slammed into the ground.

The resulting set of attacks caught Goku by surprise but he knew not to let it show. He then got to his feet and looked at his oldest brother and there was a moment of utter silence as the two of them locked eyes. He then flew at him and as he did he blinked out of sight and then reappeared behind him and as he came visible he kicked him in the back and sent him stumbling forward then vanished again.

A moment later he reappeared in front of Devlin and delivered a series of gut punches and then hit him with a ki blast and sent him flying back. As he did this he said, "I'm only just warming up..."

He then caught Devlin by surprise and caught him with a hit to the gut and then a swinging kick to the side of his face and sent him flying into the side of a mountain. He then followed his path of impact to get to him before he could recover and come at him and as he did he caught Devlin and the two of them plowed through the mountain and came out the other end of the mountain.

As they blasted through Devlin shouted out as he ascended into Super Saiyan 2 and brought his right arm up and clutched Kakarot in a neck lock with his left, he brought his arm down as he activate his Mirror Style causing the blow to deliver in his brothers chest and then did it once more normally causing Kakarot to shoot down to the ground. Devlin smirked as he stretched his arm out towards his brother and stretched his index, middle, and thumb out as his ki began to focus into his hand when Kakarot got to the ground.
"I am impressed brother, the fighting spirit in you is astounding. Collect yourself because this next move should be particularly familiar to you, FINAL....FLASH!!!!!"
Devlin shouted as he fired off the Final Flash at Kakarot holding the beam as it hurtled towards Kakarot.

Devlin shouted as he fired off the Final Flash at Kakarot holding the beam as it hurtled towards Kakarot.

As Goku plowed Devlin through a mountain he was caught off guard as Devlin went up to super saiyan 2 and caught him in a neck lock and then he was hit in the chest with his mirror style. When he was hit it was doubled by a second hit and he was sent careening to the ground. He caught himself before hitting the ground and he landed on his hand and knees.

Goku then stood up and as he did he heard what Devlin said and he saw the move he was prepping to use and when he released the beam he did the same and released a Kamehameha.

The two beams collided and as they did there was an unbelievable amount of force behind it and Goku felt it bear down on him. He yelled out as he pushed back and as they did this there was a beam struggle that was impressive and strong...

[Devlin Chikimaru]

Devlin laughed as he watched his younger brother quickly recover and send a Kamehameha in return at his beam, Devlin clenched his opposing hand into a fiat and brought it to his side as the two beams collided and the shockwave of force rang through him. Devlin held his own beam in place as he watched Kakarot hold his wave and push back against him, this was that same determination Kakarot had shown all that time ago in the Tournament of Power and Devlin laughed as he basked in the beauty of the beam collision. He watched as the blue energy wave slowly began to push his beam back and he allowed it for just a moment until he slowly pumped more of his energy into it causing the beam to push back down slowly.
“RRRRRRR!!! IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE BROTHER?!”
