Unexpected meeting: Goku vs Bardock

[Goku]

Goku had spent the better part of the day training with Gohan and Piccalo and after the training finished and both Gohan and Piccalo left to take Gohan home. Goku stayed behind and was gonna go do some fishing at a nearby stream. But as he paused to look around the tranquil setting suddenly made him feel like just sitting and enjoy the calm surroundings. He then sat down under a shaded tree as he looked up at the trees and the sky he suddenly grew drowsy and started to dose off.

When he woke up his environment was different, almost twilight, misty kind of different. He looked around and saw he was still under the tree but the sun was not as visible and there was a low lying fog drifting by. He looked at the fog as it drifted by and as he did he caught a glimpse of a figure in the fog walking his way. The figure had hair shaped almost like his but as the fog parted at points he could see the shape had Saiyan armor. This made him stand up and watch more closely...

[Bardock]

The fog was thick but gave off a silhouette of someone from his past. Someone who looked almost exactly like himself. The dark form began to show some color through the dense mist that surounded the pair. Bardock didn't know what he was seeing. It was almost like looking into a mirror; a mirror that made him look younger and change his clothes.

Bardock slowly walked towards the stranger trying to get a better idea of who it was. The mist parted some as Bardock stopped a few feet from where Goku had been resting under the tree. He looked nearly identical to the young Saiyan raised on Earth.

Bardock stood in his typical Saiyan armor. The main breastplate was Dark blue with green accents over his abs and shoulder-bands. Green tassets hung from his sides protecting his hips. Bardock wore navy blue trousers and red sleeves over his forearms and shins. His tail was draped loosely around his waist. He stood there silently observing this doppelganger.

[Goku]

As Goku stood up he watched as the fog slowly cleared and he could see the figure standing before him. He was staring at a Saiyan that looked almost just like him. He stepped forward a step and said, "Who are you and how is it you look like me?..." He couldn't feel hostility but he was extremely curious to know more about who this saiyan was.

[Bardock]

Bardock smiled, it had been so long since he'd seen his son. He grew up into quite the Saiyan. "My how you've grown Kakarot. You were so small when your mother and I had to send you away." Bardock finally responded as he turned to his side and began to power up.

Bardock smiled as he clenched his fist in front of him. The wind picked up as it seemed to be coming from him as the mysterious fog slowly started to circle him and billow upwards like a personal cyclone. As it quickly crept towards the sky it changed it color from silver to a more golden hue. Bardock's physical appearance seemed to change with it as his dark eyes vanished, being replaced with emerald. His brow began to glow gold as did the hair on his head and tail. It seemed slow at first with scattered follicles making the change until his entire head shines like the Sun.

Bardock then turned back to Goku. "I'm assuming you have achieved this form by now Kakarot. I want to see how strong you've gotten." Bardock suddenly took off at Goku missing him only slightly as he impacted the tree his son had just been resting under. The tree exploded into splinters from the slight touch.

[Goku]

Goku was looking at this Saiyan that looked like him and when he heard him mention that him and his mother sent him off he realized he wasn't looking at just any Saiyan, but he was looking at his father. He wanted to say something as he had always wanted to meet his parents but his experience of family reunions left him with his guard up after he had his first encounter with his older brother Raditz. He then saw his father power up to super Saiyan and he readied himself. He then watched at his father charged at him and blew apart the tree where he was sitting not moments ago. He had managed to get out of the way in time. He then heard his father speak and ask if he had achieved the same level and he said, "Oh yeah...I did when I encountered Frieza on planet Namek before he destroyed the planet..." He then powered up himself as he let out a power up yell. He had practiced a lot more after that first time to accomplish the power up faster and faster so when he changed it was very rapid and well done.

Goku then said, "Rasha told me a bit about you and how much we looked alike...now I see what she means..." He said and paused then said, "If you want to see how strong I have gotten then fine...I'm always up for a good challenge and I love a good fight!" he then allowed his Super Saiyan aura to grow and he took flight rising up into the sky as he readied himself for a most unexpected fight...one against his own father.

[Bardock]

Bardock gave a smile of Pride. He didn't give his son long to react bit he still managed to dodge his first attack. He really was a chip off the old block. "Did you now?" Bardock responded as he slowly rose into the air after his son. "I too took on Frieza. I however did not fair as well. I'm proud of you Kakarot. You did something I failed to do. Avenge our people for the dark road that tyrant took us down. I'm glad to hear your sister survived. I was worried she wouldn't make it off world."

Bardock smiled again as he felt his son's power. He wasn't wearing a scouter that was typical of Saiyan armor. He'd long since learned how to sense his opponent without it. "If you are ready son, then show me what you've got." Bardock slowly eased himself backwards as he taunted with his hand.

[Goku]

Goku listened to his father speak and as he did he said, "She is quite safe...so is Raditz..."

He then saw Bardock tainting him to make his first move and he gave a nod and a smile then assumed a fight stance while hovering and gaging his body language. He then flew at him with speed. He intended to use this time to warm up with hand to hand combat so he could gage his fighting levels.

When he flew at his father he unleashed a volley of punches and kicks.

[Bardock]

Bardock smiled again. It was good to hear all of his children were alive. Taking a similar fighting stance Bardock braces for Goku's first round of attacks. Raising his power Bardock's golden ki surged from his body as Goku charged him with several punches and kicks. "Good Kakarot, don't let up, keep me on the defensive."

Bardock did his best to dodge and weave his son's attacks, made easier with them being in the air. Ultimately he was caught off guard and took a hit to his face. Bardock shot backwards several feet before he could right himself. "Good, Kakarot. Now let's see if you can defend yourself as well."

Bardock raised his power once again as the wind picked up circling him and pressing outwards. Bardock charged forward with his elbow leading his charge. Bardock then followed with a swinging roundhouse kick. With his free hand Bardock quickly channeled a small ki ball and placed it between him and his son before releasing it.

[Goku]

Bardock smiled again. It was good to hear all of his children were alive. Taking a similar fighting stance Bardock braces for Goku's first round of attacks. Raising his power Bardock's golden ki surged from his body as Goku charged him with several punches and kicks. "Good Kakarot, don't let up, keep me on the defensive."

The moment Goku was able to give a small amount of space between him and his father he watched as he charged up his ki. He then saw him come at him with blazing speed. This caused him to brace for impact. When he was seeing Bardock coming at him with his elbow in the lead he was watching that move and was ready to deflect it, but the move suddenly turned to a strong kick which knocked him back a pace then he was faced with a ki blast aimed right at him.

This caused Goku to quickly charge up a ki ball himself and as Bardock released his blast so did Goku. the two ki balls collided which caused a backlash that knocked the both of them back a few feet. Goku then drew on a different attack and used a solar flair to temporally blind Bardock. He then began to charge up a ki ball of his own, and as he was charging it up he was waiting to catch him off guard just as the blinding lights begin to clear away. When he saw him begin to focus back on him he released the ki blast at him.

[Bardock]

Bardock flew black from the recoil of the two ki blasts colliding. He thought he had Goku on the ropes but again he seemed to quickly counter using some strange ability causing a flash if light to temporarily blind him. "Very cute Kakarot, but I don't need my eyes to find you." Bardock sensed the ki blast coming his way and deflected it with his hand before vanishing and reappearing above Goku to hit him over the head with both of his fists.

Bardock charged his ki into both of his hands. "I'm sure you'll recognize this attack as it's one I taught your brother, Raditz." Bardock brought both of his arms out away from his body as his ki pulsed and grew in his hands as they began to spark with electricity. He then brought both of them together in front of him and fired twin beams of ki down towards Goku.

[Goku]

Bardock charged his ki into both of his hands. "I'm sure you'll recognize this attack as it's one I taught your brother, Raditz." Bardock brought both of his arms out away from his body as his ki pulsed and grew in his hands as they began to spark with electricity. He then brought both of them together in front of him and fired twin beams of ki down towards Goku.

Goku was watching his father and he realized he could track his ki while blinded by the light. When he realized it he was surprised by Bardock disappearing and reappearing above him and as he looked up he got hit on the head and sent falling back down to the ground. As he was falling he caught himself as he was falling and as he looked up he heard Bardock mention a move he taught Raditz. He recognized it as the two handed ki blast Raditz called Double Sunday. He then had to make a fast move and before he would hit the ground he corrected his fall and regained a good fight position and as he saw Bardock forming the double ki blasts and released them at him he formed the kamahamaha wave and released the ki blast at the oncoming blasts. He also said, "I remember that move...Raditz tried it on me some time back when we first met..."

[Bardock]

The two beams clashed as Bardock's Double Sunday and Goku's Kamehameha locked together. Neither one wanting to give an inch as Bardock yelled, trying to force more of his ki into his own attack and overpower his sons. "I expected as such Kakarot, it is one of Raditz's favorite techniques!" Bardock was holding strong on his end but maintaining the beam was impractical he had to break loose.

Bardock smiled from his vantage point as his golden Super Saiyan Aura flickered as it started to take in a green hue that overpowered it completely engulfing Bardock. As it was happening Goku's Kamahama was slowly inching closer to him as if he was loosing the fight. In truth Bardock was sacrificing his offensive technique for a more defensive one.

When Goku's ki blast was feet from overtaking Bardock he acted. Pulling both of his hands back he completely cut the flow of ki to them and instead charged directly into the Kamahama splitting it like a hot knife through butter. Each inch seemed to fuel Bardock's Aura as it left a comet trail in his wake until he was back on the ground. Bardock hit the ground like a meteor as dirt erupted from the impact leaving a nice sized crater.

Bardock smiled as he looked over at Goku. "That was quite the technique you have there." Bardock's Aura was still green as was his hair. It ripped around him wildly.

[Goku]

As Goku held his kamahamaha wave steady he was watching it slowly overtake Bardock's twin Ki blast that Raditz' liked calling "Double Sunday" He was feeling pretty sure the fight would end soon then he saw Bardock break away and come right at him splitting his kamahamaha wave in half making him loose control. He then dropped the blast and when he did Bardock landed with a mighty impact. He looked at him as he saw his ki shift from the standard super saiyan gold to one that had a tint of green. He hadn't seen that coming but considering he said he was his father and Rasha had shown the same strange green ki trait he wasn't too surprised. He was however noticing a rising power level coming from him and this made his eyes narrow.

"If you are wanting to take this to the next level we can...but things are gonna start getting harder." he said with a bit of a playful chuckle as he was feeling his own excitement grow at the impending challenge.

Goku then drew in on his ki and jumped up to super saiyan 2. His aura grew stronger and blue lightning sparks could be seen through out the aura. Once he was powered up the aura vanished and he went into his accustomed fighting stance.

[Bardock]

Bardock took a step back as he watched his son power up to the next level. "Harder for who?" Bardock chuckled as he looked up from the center of the crater he had just created. His golden-green aura fizzled out returning him to his normal Super Saiyan state.

Bardock's started towards the edge of the hole and where Goku was standing. With each step Bardock's ki increased as it began to boil inside him waiting for release. With each step the ground under his feet cracked and pulled away leaving dust and specks of glass from the sheer heat radiating from the sole of his boots.

Outward Bardock showed no signs of his own increasing power, no ki aura, no increase in mass, just a radiant heat as the edge came closer with every step. Then the tempest was suddenly set loose. Bardock's emerald green irises looked on Goku one last time before they faded away leaving his eyes empty.

Bardock's ki exploded out of him as his golden hair once again turned bright green as did his aura, crackling with lightning. "The gloves are coming off my son. Give me your best shot."

[Goku]

Goku was watching Bardock and he could tell he was getting ready to let loose. He had been only slowly building up since he always likes to see how far his opponent can push him before he tries to go all out. He was starting to feel the need to throw down the gloves and when he saw his eyes go white he knew he was about to see fury unleashed.

He had heard Rasha talk about their father and how he had faced Frieza in those final hours of their home world. She had told him that it was believed he was probably the strongest Saiyan on planet vegeta at the time so this was starting to pump him up. He then dropped his weighted top, wrist cuffs and blue undershirt and just had his pants and boots. He then reinvested his strength into his ki to add some more strength. He thought about jumping to super saiyan 3 but he would rather save that until its a must, and he honestly hasn't used it much after he found out he could achieve such a lever since it drains pretty hard on the body.

Goku then flew up with astonishing speed and as he did he intended to catch his father off guard and as he did he slammed right into him from his lower point in the crater and sent him flying up in the air and he unleashed a volley of super strong hits to his chest and then a downward strike to his face sending him falling back down to the grown with a crash.

[Bardock]

Bardock chuckled as he shot into the air as his son Kakarot followed behind him. "If that's all the speed you can muster you'll never outpace me son." Bardock stopped as he braced for the first volley of hits from Kakarot to his chest and then a swift smack to his face. Bardock just smiled as he absorbed the punch as simply turned his head. Bardock's grin never left his face as his right fist burst into flames as he brought it under him and into Goku's own chest. He then vanished as he appeared behind his son and grabbed him around his neck with his whole arm and began to squeeze. Bardock brought his knee to bare into Goku's back and struck him several times before he pulled his son backwards until their were both inverted and the ground was below their head and their feet reaching for the sky. Bardock's green Ki started to burn at his flesh as the heat was attempting to transfer to Goku in the process.

Finally releasing Goku from his grip Bardock kicked himself free and his son towards the ground below them. Quickly in pursuit Bardock chased his son to the ground as he gripped his wrist with one hand and his ki sparked to full life in the other. As the two saiyans plummeted towards the ground Bardock called out to his son, "You fought well, but you must still become stronger!" Bardock made contact at the last second as his ki exploded into Goku's chest like a nuclear blast. Erupting from where their bodies made contact with the ground and expanding outwards as anything and everything within miles was forced from its foundations and vaporized. Goku would suddenly wake up still under the same tree by the stream he fell asleep under. Everything would appear normal save the pain in his joints. Was it a dream? Did he really just fight his father?

[Goku]

The fight Goku was experiencing was intense and he felt the severity of the fight. He also felt the loss of it as well and when he hit him with a green ki blast and sent falling to the ground with such a strong hit the only thing he remembered was the sudden impact of hitting the ground and seeing his fathers face. He then suddenly woke up under the tree and as his eyes opened he shot upright then felt the pain in his chest. He then looked around and found himself back in the world he knew and he was left in silence as he sat back and thought about the dream of fighting his father.

Goku then stood up and looked up to the sky as he thought about his Father and he wished he had gotten to know him, but dreams were just dreams and he knew he would never see him. he then turned and walked off as he headed home.

[Bardock]

From behind the very tree Goku was sleeping under a figure stepped into the light. He was wearing armor reminiscent of what Vegeta once did. His armor was a deep green and hung over his hips. The figure watched in silence as Goku walked off home. "Well done my son." The figure spoke as if a whisper. "You have grown quite powerful. I look forward to testing your strength further." Bardock smiled as he placed a mask over his face. "Grow ever stronger my son. You'll need it." Bardock's phantom form suddenly faded into a gust of wind.
